I was only half-joking, Thai. You really do seem to try to get us all to move to the centre ground when we are determined to stake out our extreme positions.

Sadly, I don't think that's possible any more. I've now reached the point where I want him out. It's a basic risk-benefit equation. He's taking us down so the risk is starting to look more and more attractive.

I am still on the fence tbh, but have just about conceded that we are not going to get more than maybe 3 or 4 points on our travels for the rest of the season.

 

Vietnam is similar, and also Indonesia from my experiences there. I've only taught Thai students in the UK, but they seem even more desperate for everyone to agree and to reach a collective position as soon as possible. If you are trying to encourage academic debate, it is very frustrating.
