    Because I said waffle?

    Grow up numpty.

Nothing I said was incorrect - there was huge surprise at two judges having a 1 point difference.

Of course Froch won, the referee ensured that and because you wanted him to win you can't smell how much it stinks (even though everyone else can).

It's the way of the world Craig - The right decision was made. You have to accept that, Froch was the looking the only one likely to win anyway.

Would you have been happier if the referee had let the fight run for another 20-30 seconds so Froch could have properly put Groves on the canvass, after he'd already had a beating.

Groves was spent, but it was a great fight. Already looking forward to the rematch.

You do realise that there are only 3 judges, 2 of which had Froch 1 point behind when the fight was stopped. The other scorecards were just opinions from ex pro's.

Everything's an argument on here nowadays. Two good English fighters, they can have another go

Froch looks washed up. Maybe the Kessler fight took it out of him.

The ref should of gave Groves another 10 or 15 seconds to try and recover. Froch had been in worse situations during the fight.

It is the way of the world. Unfortunately corruption is rife and with the exception of you everyone who saw the fight said it was a dodgy decision.

Every article says the referee stopped the fight prematurely and (unlike you) none of the experts I've heard felt knowledgeable enough to predict the details of what would have happened if he hadn't stopped it.
Also you still haven't answered why the ref didn't give Groves the benefit of an 8 count when he was clearly able to continue.

Sorry, I wasn't aware it was a question. Perhaps you should apply for any vacant IBF refereeing posts seeing as you seem to 'think' you know better than the expert in the centre of the ring.

Given that both fighters had spent 9 rounds knocking seven bells of **** out of each other, it had got to the stage whereby anyone who was in the ring but not really returning punches, but getting hammered, should really have the fight stopped.

I have re watched round 9 again, the ref was still correct in his decision, but he could have maybe let it run, the outcome would have been the same - but Groves was ****ed, Froch was going to finish him off - easily. Groves had thrown everything at Froch - but his chin is just too good.

'Everyone' except the ref, except me, except promoter Eddie Hearn and thousands of people on twitter. You're funny Craig and you talk ****.

Exactly. Even watching the only round Froch won you still come to the decision that the ref should have let the fight continue...err "maybe". Glad you finally agree.<ok>

I don't agree with you, he could 'maybe' have let it run, for 10-15 seconds, the outcome was somewhat a formality. Whilst your applying for a referees job, maybe you could apply for a judging role too?

By continually adding "maybe" it just shows you don't want to admit to yourself what you know is true.
Oh and try to respond without the childish digs, it's only a boxing match FFS.

Craig I love the **** you make up. You're just in denial, Froch deserved to win AND YOU know it (See how easy it is to make assumptions about what people are thinking, you do it a lot). It doesn't matter who was ahead at what point on how many points. The records will always state Froch beat Groves by stoppage in the 9th round. A correct decision by the referee.

It was one hell of a fight, easily caught up in. The punishment level was hard and getting worse, for me (it's my opinion) the referee made the right decision; that is why he, and only he, is mobile and close to the fighters in the ring. It can be reasonably argued all day that another decision could have been made, of course it could and who knows what the outcome would have been; but it wasn't, the man responsible for the well-being (sic) of two top-notch fighters made the one that he thought right and good for him. It will be a dark day for the sport when an official listens to participants, coaches, media and supporters and let's their judgment be swayed. <whistle>
