I think you watched the same game as I. Sagbo's link-up play was very good, unfortunately he didn't have anyone to link-up with. Boyd's movement was great, that was it though - didn't really create anything. Koren was awful today. Graham is not a premiership player. Livermore's passing, movement, harrassing was all good. Need to add that Curtis Davies was pretty decent today.
I agree with some of this but to answer your point about why vote Livermore - I can understand you saying it but I can't think of anyone better. No one impressed me today really. RE Huddlestone and Livermore flattering to deceive, they're great players but achieve nothing in our team. Have either of them got an assist yet never mind a goal? We always seem to make good players ineffective. Huddlestone for the last two home games has just been resorting to floating balls in from the middle of the pitch which are always going to be easy to defend. Livermore needs letting off the leash a bit more. I hate this modern football thing that you need loads of defensive midfielders. Aluko is the same in that he's talented but goes weeks without creating or scoring in our team (he has 1 of each this season and we consider that a success). I think at this level we just need to accept we aren't going to create much and we'll be relying on our defence quite a bit. Until January at least.
Sagbo Livermore Rosie People have actually voted for Paul Mcshane? Did i watch a different game? All day long Jerome won every single ball against him, he held it up then laid it off, where in comparison Davies did nothing wrong, but you vote for Mcshane? I used to hate Macca, but he has improved this season but Jerome had him all game in his pocket. Anyway onto my votes, Sagbo i like a lot, his movement is good, his touches are good, he holds it up well. I felt for him though as the service to him was piss poor, nothing decent was given to him, i think Sagbo will come good. Livermore passed and moved, he tried to do something off the ball made one nice run in the second half but no-one spotted it. I like him, but he needs movement ahead of him, same with Thudd. No-one else really did well so i gave Rosie a shout. Elmo was poor, what's happened to his crossing? Boyd and Koren aren't wingers, they can't beat any man and should never be played there again. Brady wasn't fit. Graham had shocking service but did nothing wrong in my eyes. Rosie did alright, nothing wrong, nothing well. Figueroa did alright but Bolasie got passed him to much and didn't get forward enough.
all of that is spot on - especially Faye and Gedo - time to bring the curtain down on Graham - maybe he's doing his bit for Sunderland
1. Mcshane 2. Figgy 3. errrrrrr - Davies Overall MOM was Jedinak by a country 'Mile' - In all seriousness he was quality.
Agree about Jedinak although quality isn't the right word. Huddlestone and Livermore have way more quality than him but he can dominate a game and make things happen while our two seem to suffer from the rest of the team not being as good and can't create anything on their own.
Yeah that's what I meant, but couldn't be arsed to write it out properly... I agree though. He was like a big ozzy ash.
I bet Gedo feels massively insulted. I'd even put Proschwitz higher in the pecking order than Graham at the moment. At least Prossy moves when we don't have possession.
No, I get the point, but I don't think you can say 45 minutes is a cameo appearance... If anyone should have had 45 minutes from the bench, it should have been Gedo, but I bet Gedo's just sat there wondering what he has to do to get above Graham in the pecking order considering the horrific form Graham's in. Gedo will be sat on the bench, Bruce will turn and say, "right, Danny, you're up" and think to himself, "how? WHY!?"
What a brilliant observation. Congratulations!! But you happened to think the inane protest was good...really????
I thought Hudds and Livermore did OK but not enough. Too many players seemed to be playing out of position. Elmo is not a right back. He can possibly do the job as a wing back when we have three central defenders but we can't afford for him to be in that position next week with Liverpool. Sagbo frustrates the hell out of me... He has a great first touch, but whenever we had the ball in their last third in a promising position, Sagbo was never in or around the box. Bruce's comments about Brady after the match was interesting. Seemed to be suggesting he is physically fine but his head is not in the right place. Worrying.
