Before everyone jumps on Dave`s back, what he said was correct we shouldn`t expect to go away to teams like Newcastle expecting results as they are a far bigger club with a much more expensive squad than ours getting higher wages.
They have now won their last 3 games with 2 large scalps and on another day they could have drawn with lowly out of form Norwich, Dave is a realist and clearly gets fed up with posters slating our current manager as he feels that we are a club taking small steps towards becoming a stable well run Premiership side.
To tear up the current structure and start from scratch again seems both risky and foolhardy, posters calling for Hughton`s head are spoilt fantasists that have unrealistic goals for Norfolk`s finest.
For me i insist on at least 1 goal and an improvement so Leroy Fer has saved Hughton`s job in my eyes for today and will carry the water against Palace.

If nobody expects to win away then we have no chance, nearly all our matches are played away for heavens sake..

    Massive own goal there Dave.

No one I know except for you predicted that we would win that game. It was the manor of the defeat and the way we played that was the disappointing thing.

I have a Columbo style sense of humor Carrabuh & realize that we play an even number of games home/away.... The fact that we don`t show up away is the problem, i wish CH would ditch his rigid 4 5 1 let`s just not lose policy just one time as it usually ends in defeat ..

Our squad is 4th cheapest in the league. Bookmakers had us 4th from bottom. Crack open a bottle and celebrate the fact that we are overachieving <ok>

Why? Hughton is doing f@@kall for our team. It is not about today's game, it's about the last year. He has absolutely no idea. The same sh##e every week. His systems do not work, his substitutions come too late, he is not a game changer or an inspirational leader.
PL might have taken the direct approach at times but he had balls to try to win, could change a game with inspired substitutions and could motivate his players. This squad could be better motivated by an egg and cress sandwich, than by CH
Risky and foolhardy, is what it is to stick with something that clearly does not work.

I think you'll find ham & cheese to be more motivational than egg & cress(cress can wilt under pressure )

Vocally not very good but there was plenty of yellow and green in SJP and city.
Seen much worse Fulham came without about 5 fans last season.

That pretty much sums it up for me. I would love to know what Whittaker has done wrong for Martin to be starting ahead of him.

As things stand, I can't see CH being in charge much longer, but I'm fearful of who we may get to replace him. At kesat it won't be Pullis!!!!! <yikes>

And after the first couple of matches people were saying Martin should come in for Whittaker. Can't win.

I watched your game yesterday, and while Newcastle are on some form, and you are clearly off your best, I still think that you were not far short of getting a result from Newcastle yesterday, the issues that I saw were players not clicking, not making the right decisions, and those forced errors and not getting the rub of the green does happen, when your not at your best. Take us for example same issues this season, with many of the same tell tale signs, of a team not playing at it's best, we went to Fulham desperate to get a win, to start to build our form back, and we just about made it, the resulting 3 points took us back up to mid table, and 10th position.

It's very tight this season, and it reminds me of a typical Championship season to be honest, you get one win, and you'll be catapulted up to 11th position!!....My view is your in a wee rut, that you will soon shake off, because your too good a club not to, KTF lads.......<cheers>

I see no problem in dropping someone who is failing to lead the team and gifting an odd goal every other game to opposition. Martin has done absolutely nothing to warrant his place in the team, he has been the weakest link in the defence this season for me along with Bassong has under performed too.

There is nothing wrong giving Whittaker an opportunity to prove himself and give Martin sometime to reflect and work hard on where his getting it wrong. It's pretty straight forward really it's not like we're assassinating someone.
