You can't compare Suarez @ Liverpool and Van Persie @ United How about comparing their records when they first joined the Prem. Van Persie has been in the Prem 8 years now? Plenty of time to adjust, compared to Suarez who has been a combined 2 years. Van Persie took 5 seasons to get the same total when he joined Arsenal.

Maybe not right now, but come January if we are in 2nd place then it will have value as it will help attract better players in January transfer window which could allow us to push on for 4th place at the end of the season. We're more likely to sign top players if 2nd, compared to 7th. Also, if we are leading until the last day I think a lot of fans will be happy, even if we do drop away on the last day. Will be massive progress considering where we came last year.

Be careful what you wish for, he is already on pace to be the top goal-scorer this year and missed 5 prem games. He also scores when we need him and starting to score in the big ones which is always a sign of a great player. He damn near single handedly got us past Zenit last year I remember, in terms of a pressure situation, will he come up with the goods. With that being said, in terms of pure striker...... it is Aguero for me. I think he is ****ing awesome and really wish we would have landed him all those years ago when he was still at lanus.

The point I am making is that that there is no point gloating about your current position or having the top 2 strikers in PL because if you end up out of top 4 again your season would have been a failure.
