As people have said, straight reds should be 100% certain .......... the referee just guessed didn't he?

Worse due to taking away the physical element imo
It started off with everyone saying yeah we'll just do it for goal line clearances....this is the slippery slope we've got ourselves on.

I agree, some scandinavian/german/eastern european refs would be lovely! possibly some african ones as the things they let slide are hilarious

I've never been in favour of using technology to make decisions in open play, but I am wrong. Bad decisions have too much riding on them and cost fans and clubs a bucket load of money.

If a quick view by a fourth official can prevent travesties such as the Wes Brown one they should be used.

    So...which is more:
    Reckless?
    Dangerous?
    With Intent?

Not saying I thought Begovic was a red card...however if we are going off Kevin Friends decision making, then anything is...

However as Poyet said, where is the consistency...

Goal line decision and straight reds are no different imo, as are dubious penalties, no room for error, game changing, season threatening

What incenses me is that Brown tackle wasn't even a foul, his studs aren't up, he hasn't got both feet off the ground, from what I saw he never even made contact with Adams, so please, someone tell me how the **** that is a red card?

they say we should wrap wes in cotton wool ,i agree , so the kids in the future can see a man make a perfect tackle within the laws of the game , this clip should be stored under the title the day the game FOOTBALL dissapeared up its own a/hole

Mate, Adams knew exactly what was about to happen and was never ever going to be caught by that tackle.

He totally pulled out because he knew Brown was about to win it which he ded.

The only chance of injury was the referee having to exercise his ****ing brain cells.

What about free kicks that lead directly to goals? Offside decisions that give teams goals or take them away? Second bookable offences?
