Well done Oddy, won like a good ****er should! Racing today made me forget the crap remarks of that ****ing Brisbane Courier Mail. What a rag, and sad bunch of so-called sports journalists...
Oops ... rubbish! Theres a reason why i dont bet in the bumpers.. up for the day though and thats my lot. Well done to those on Cue Card today!!
Link Swanny? Anyway, great performance from Cue Card but must say i'm a tad worried about Bobs Worth. It begs the question as to whether all is well at Seven barrows (not in a dodgy way I hasten to add). I'm hoping it's a case of them needing the run but we'll see
What about the Grade 2 Monksfield Novice Hurdle tomorrow at Navan - 8 runners and each and every one of them won last time out. Cracking race, and Aiden O'Brien's Carriganog has been ultra-impressive to date and can step up to land this.
Well done for those with winners today, I've drawn a blank! Looking forward to next week, hopefully Invictus comes back somewhere near its best and puts the Hennessey to bed
The big debate with Invictus now is whether he beat a cherry ripe Bobs Worth and Silviniano Conti at Ascot- we saw today that when they are not necessarily fully tuned they are vulnerable, so Invictus will answer some questions about his ability next week. I hope he goes and wins well- excellent jumper. Maybe he isn't as far ahead of the handicapper as we think, but hopefully he is just a good horse and he wins regardless. I'll be double-handed with Invictus and Rocky Creek- cannot see past those two.
Outstanding performance by Cue Card today, though no doubt being race fit gave him an edge over the 2nd and 3rd. He proved he stays though so enters the Gold Cup debate when they should all be primed to run for their lives! Thought Al Ferof could have a say in the King George but he doesn't half stand off his fences at times...Annie Power put aside a 2.5 mile specialist today so she looks one with great potential. Well done all those on winners today, Dynaste placing was good enough for me!
I remember a friend telling me to watch out for an horse called Invictus just over three years ago so have been closely watching and had high hopes for him, so i really hope he comes back strong. If he is anywhere near his best and the Gold Cup is what they go for then 40/1 is a ridiculous price!
Sir Des Champs suddenly becomes a lot more appealing without even running. And today was another hint at how incredible Sprinter Sacre is.
No link, Oddy, just saw it yesterday evening on ITV1 News. Nasty piece from this paper, seems a bit like our Daily Mail? Cue Card is a personal favourite of mine (like Haafhd on the flat was) since his first bumper success at Fontwell (next was the Champion Bumper at 40-1). It is no secret with CC that he does need cut in the ground, I do not think he likes fast ground, as was apparent in his second (?) season over the obstacles. Always gives his best. Bob's Worth not ready yet, and needs an even more gruelling test of stamina on a demanding track IMHO. Henderson is certainly not my favourite trainer, but he does have a star-studded stable at his disposal at the moment.
Not me Toppy. Only once have I P2V a boxing match - years ago, involving Tyson and it ended in the first round, so as I pay extra for the sports channels anyway, I decided not to give Sky any more than I had too! I'm guessing my son will be viewing - I tried to call him and his phone is off - but he has money to burn, unlike his old man Enjoy
I may have a dog bet if anyone is interested - waiting on a text. If it's a goer I'll post if not I'll watch X-Factor ........... or not.
I'm having a go on David Probert in the last three at Wolverhampton: Indian Affair 8/1 Colourbearer 11/1 Rancho Montoya 9/1 Ew singles, doubles, a treble and done them in a patent aswell
