Brilliant from Cue Card - where's Goergeous George????

Bobs Worth ran no sort of race, very disappointing. Looking forward to the King George already - surely Cue Card's next appointment?

Great TopClass! My dear old Cue Card, am all choked up. Tizzard Snr. is not just a farmer, and his son Joe is a bloody fine jockey too. They showed 'em. Fantastic result....

Imperious performance from Cue Card, he was an absolute joy to watch pinging those fences!

Had a bit on Silviniaco Conti but it was a great race so not too bothered at all

Well done to Cue Card and connections but confident Bob's Worth will reverse form in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham as he'll outstay Cue Card for a start. But Cue Card is the one to beat in the King George and doubt Al Ferof will be good enough.

Crucially this time Cue Card seemed to steady through the middle part of the race- didn't get too excited and thankfully stayed in a good rhythm (not perfect but good) over his fences. That meant he had the speed left to clear away late on that flat track and crucially (as in the Ryanair) he jumped brilliantly down the home straight to not give anyone the chance.

Lovely horse he has developed into, and there are still things he could iron out. Sprinter Sacre gets boosted...AGAIN!

Bobs Worth struggles against pace and there was not the sufficient test for him to capitalise today and it kinda bears out my thought that those who can build a gap on him need to keep up the gallop if they are to beat him in a Gold Cup. He is a small horse and to keep turning up in gruelling races will be difficult. But he will be better judged next time out and when it counts.

Not a great day for me - Drumshambo would have won but for a mistake at the last imo, however last TV race at Haydock and all my eggs are in the Noble Legend basket at 14-1 from last night. <ok>

Having a couple of small bets in the last race at Ascot. I find it very eye catching Ruby is riding for Rebecca Curtis so small win stakes on Minella On Line at 7/2 BPG and a small each way on Saddlers Encore at 14/1 BPG. (He could be anything)..

So pissed off with myself but so pleased for Cue Card. I love that horse and I selected him for Cyc's comp and then decided to "play safe" with Bobs Worth <doh>
