I know I'm slow, but I've just picked up on swanselona with a moderator tag!................... Just like to say well done mate on giving it a go, and I'm sure you'll do a great job, don't put up with any crap, even from me!..
I'm all for banter, unfortunetly over here in the past, it's been more like batter......... If the spoilt children have finally left the forum for pastures new, I concur with that. BTW, the cat has a much easier life these days bless him - something to do either with age (his not mine), or the possibly the fact that we no longer expect to win up here in the stratosphere, so rarely get that dissappointed as before. Mind you, he had an extra helping of lamb chops on November 3rd............
Did we win as I said we would old Sparkey dear!.......................... please log in to view this image
Yes indeed Phil, but if Bent was half the striker he thinks he is, you'd have been at least 2 down at half time - a bit like your Stoke game. I see the old possession stats tell the same story mate - loads of it, but it took an own goal and a one off from Fester to seal it against a very poor side. You played well fair play, and it was a well deserved win. The thing that probably guts you though is you did us a big favour to boot.....
Yes it was huff and puff in the end mate - goals win games and you got two whereas you should have got 10 with those stats. Still say if Bent had buried those two glorious chances (chances that you wonderful defence let him have BTW), it would have been a far different story.
In the vast majority of games, teams rarely score more than 3 times despite the number of shots they have or the amount of possession they have. Swansea (or Cardiff) are no different in that respect.
9 shots to 22 5 on target to 4 Final score Fulham 1 - 2 Cardiff. Should have scored at least 10 with those stats. Must try harder Sparks.
Yeah but its easy to say we were huff and puff, when our stats actually resembled yours, bar the possession, its like "pot kettle black". Yes it took an own goal and a goal from Shelvey, but it also took 2 good goals from your lot to also beat a poor Fulham team, who also did not have the Man Utd head coach at the time. So the same is of both teams against a poor Fulham side. Fulham were helped by some poor defence from us at times, think one of the Bent chances came from Williams cross field ball, which he should never have played, helped by a slip by Rangel. Parker's goal however was certainly a one off, one of those cross come shots that you see like twice in a whole season. Not to mention, that Parker rarely scores as it is. All that matters in the grand scheme of things is we scored more than them, and we got 3 points, yes Bent could have scored 2 early doors, but then we could have also beat Liverpool if it wasn't for Shelvey's shockers, we would have beaten West Ham had it been for a bad penalty call, or beat Stoke had it been for an even worse penalty call. Cardiff scored against us with their first shot on target. That is football.
Just what are you trying to prove with that lot? Awful lot of words to say the obvious - must try harder - but not too hard eh?
No need for that Musty, yes Sparkey is on a little bit of a wum, but nothing wrong with that, I will return the favour this afternoon
