Just watching Soccer Saturday...really think that Merson's attitude not just annoying but ridiculous. Have no problem with him predicting an Arsenal win (two others did with Tiss, bless him, going for a draw), but he appears angry about our success. He is annoyed about the praise we are getting, saying that you would think Southampton had invented the wheel. Ridiculously childish. Others were complimentary about our play, although thought Arsenal would be too good for us.
Expect Mauricio sneezed on him! Huge shame, because really wanted our best team to play. Will be harder, but just have to keep the ball in their goal area.

Well, Hooiveld can hardly do worse than last season... In all seriousness, this will be a good test of Pochettino's conviction that the defensive strength has not been down to one player.
It is what it is. Massive shame for us and Lovren personally. Let's hope it is illness rather than injury.
We may well go on and keep a clean sheet anyway. But Lovren is key for me. Don't mind any of Fonte, Jos or Yoshida partnering him. But without him as one of the two, I think we are much weaker. Will need a top game from Wanyama and Morgan now.
