Colo still wants out

Tiote seems to have shown a new maturity as captain.

 

Got to set a good example to the rest of the team now.

 

Over the weeks I think we have seen that he is setting a good example, but he has to keep it going as you say for the team.

 

He's been a good player for us and stayed through the relegation season too. Probably to prove a point but still. With that in mind I'd get rid of him now. There was a bit of panic the last time this came up due to him being far and away our best defender. Might still be but he doesn't play as well in a pairing as willo and mbiwa have and willo is definitely an inferior player to collo. Say our goodbyes and get someone else in.

It's good that MYM and Willo are stepping up, almost makes things easier to take.

 

I think Willo has been tremendous so far. We do need another centre back though if Colo does move. If he does choose to go this time around he will go with my blessing. Has been an excellent servant for us.

 

At some stage Colo will go, the good thing is that as he says himself, it'll be on our terms. We need him this season and he'll be difficult to replace. He will go eventually though and I wish him all the best when he does. Have to say Tiote as captain in his absence has been a masterstroke. I wouldn't be taking the captaincy off Colo though, he deserves a bit more respect than that. You can lose dressing rooms doing that kind of thing.

 

Why keep him as captain if his minds elsewhere

 

Its not though, he has made that clear and shown it in his play. If he leaves, he leaves. Been very respectful of the clubs wishes, just hasn't lied or tried to pull the wool.

 

I think we will have to disagree on this one hacky if he's mind isn't elsewhere why confirm again that you want to leave as soon as possible and if he wants to be respectful to the club he shouldn't answer the questions asked about this subject

 

I don't mind it. Asked a question, answered it honestly. Nothing disrespectful, we already know his wishes. He wants to go home for family reasons, football is secondary at the end of the day. He's not gone AWOL or broken his contractual obligations. Bit of a nothing to see here for me.
