I doubt we´d let him go for less than 3 million now. Maybe 2.5 with some seriously tasty incentives, but I doubt it!

Anything over 2 million & SOLD !! The Premier League is full of teams paying to much for young , speculated players . Maybe he'll turn out to be a superstar , maybe not but we have opportunity to make some cash on a player that was at Wrexham 8 or 9 months ago & know is getting a bit big for his breeches suddenly . All the best to him mind you if he does go , just " SHOW US THE MONEY " & lets move on .

Fully agree with Rodgers on this and i think many will agree. We dont want the team disrupted by people who dont want to be there so if they offer £3-4 million, good bye Taylor and hello a more proven and hopefully better full back.

However unless Newcastle lose Enrique i cant see them really putting in a bid anywhere near 3 million or Taylor really wanting to spend all season bar the odd sub appearance on the bench.

Saying that given that Jones left Blackburn for £17 million based on potential then 3 million may be a bit of a bargain on their part and they may be willing to chuck money at him in wages. Time will tell

Have I missed something here? Is the £1 million buyout clause just rubbish then?

Soon as a club showed a 1 million bid of interest , he's allowed to talk to the team that put the bid in . He's not allowed to leave without our permission though , I think .

At the end of the day he can talk to Newcastle but Swansea will have the final say on if he goes or not,I like Brendan's attitude that if a player doesn't want to play for the club then so be it.

I agree 100% with Buck. We don't need any distruption. However we shouldn't just sell for any old price, we've got to make sure we get as much as we can get in this transfer climate. I hope Taylor stays as he's been a very promising player this last season. He fits in well with our style of play as well, let's hope it doesn't drag out to long.

snap £1 million off the toon quick as his value is nowhere near that, the boy has just come up from non league and he thinks he is better than he actually is, if he stays then i cant see him coping with the premiership stars anyway and will be dropped for more seasoned players we may get....A million is a great deal for a player who can be replaced quite easily. he is nowhere near premiership quality just like chopra, betty and co for the blue tits, he is to green and not ready by a long way....sell him quick if he wants to go....agree with Rodgers on this

Agree with Brendan here, if any player doesn't want to play for us or wants to speak another they can basically sod off, this probably is the reason pratley left, fair enough the club could have handled things better, but ultimately it comes to this, do you want to play for us or not?

Also these stinking blood sucking leeches who take money out of football , should be regulated and paid by the players, they earn enough ! ****ing hate the dirty scumbags, wouldn't piss on one if they were on fire, clubs should refuse to deal with them full stop !

I agree with Rodgers, but I do think that he has now sealed Taylor's exit, I hope Huw plays Hardball with whoever wants him, be that Toon or the Toffees, Let's get this going the way we did with Paul Jewell and Derby Huw! Let's see how much these clubs really want him, and let's make up for some of these freebies, clubs have been getting off us! Get in there Huw.........................

As everyone alse has stated, buck is spot on we need players who want to play for us and taylor May well turn around and say no I want to stay at swansea, I sincerely hope he does as he and Scotty have got a good thing going down the left hand side.

If he decides to pick pastures new then give us full whack, sell on clauses and he is yours, but I hope he wants to stay with us

If Neil admits that he wants to talk to the Toon, then I say let him go.

I'm with Buck. I don't want anybody at our club that isn't fully focused on the Swans.

Right on Buck, if he wants to go and is not committed to the team let him go. Buck has his valuation of Taylor and if teams who are interested in him do not reach our valuation, leave him on the bench, or in the reserves, easypeasy.

Did you see Dean Saunders commenting on how it would be a good move for Taylor (15% to Wrexham of course).... the Jack bastard

I still think this smells like an agent getting a new deal from the Swans (only way they get paid, as an auto increase from promotion was already on the old contract). However if he doesn't want to play for us, and Newcastle don't want to pay 2.5 mill (all he's worth at this stage at best I reckon) and he doesn't buy himself out ....then off on loan to lower leagues and stew until like a naughty boy until he.....:emoticon-0121-angry .... and realises his error

If the release clause is real Newcastle will only have to offer £1m, which means, we basically have to accept and we have to let them discuss personal terms with Taylor. He'll leave for £1m now.

As already stated buddy, the clause simply allows him to talk to a club if a million offer comes in. He can talk if he wants, but the clause doesn't mean we have to sell...... a big difference to a 1 million instant release clause.

It all makes you wonder how Newcastle got to here about these fine details..... hence my thoery on the agent simply wanting a better deal. If a leak like that happened in my industry I'd be done for data protection with serious consequences.

They got to hear about it through the agent, basically illegally tapped up, this is what I hate about agents, they are just a bunch of scum and unsettle players and destabilise clubs with their lies and underhand ways of doing business, the sooner they are either driven out of the game the better!

If I was Jenkins I would switch the phone off and let the kid stew for a few weeks, and also ban the blood sucking leech from the liberty, in fact ban all agents from there.
