Newcastle could send Cisse to QPR to land prolific Remy on a permanent deal
    By SIMON CASS

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse could be on his way to Queens Park Rangers as part of a swap deal which would see Loic Remy’s season-long loan move from Loftus Road to St James’ Park become a permanent switch.
That is the astonishing ‘exclusive’ which is being run on a website backed by Sports Direct, whose majority shareholder is Newcastle owner Mike Ashley.
The story claims that Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is weighing up the deal as QPR want to increase the asking price for Remy given his blistering start to the season which has seen him score seven goals in nine Barclay’s Premier League games.

The story goes on to highlight Cisse’s poor form, with the Senegalese striker yet to find the net in 10 appearances.
Seemingly happy to herald the potential end of Cisse’s Newcastle career, SportsDirect News claims to have learned, ‘Newcastle hope to lower the fee by offloading the misfiring Cisse as part of the deal’.
Newcastle paid QPR £2million to land Remy for a season, but speaking this week Pardew would seem to be in favour of hanging on to both his strikers after hailing Cisse’s performance in training since he returned from missing out on the World Cup following Senegal’s play-off defeat to the Ivory Coast.
‘He was absolutely brilliant – he was our best player on the training ground,’ said Pardew of Cisse’s contribution. ‘That’s really good to see. He’s focused on getting back in the team and scoring goals. He’s a big player for us, and we need him in the goals.’

I believe there is no deal/price in place as it was solely a loan deal.

It would probably be my dream link to be honest. I know he has gone off the boil of late but I hold that down to not being utilised correctly. He's a classic number 9 and not a wide man.

Had to go and dig up this 22 month old thread:
    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/117061-This-is-the-one-we-should-be-after!-The-new-Sir-Les-if-you-like?highlight=papiss+cisse

This is what I said at the time and I stand by it still:
"He's so good he'll make the other two strikers who's made the switch from Die Bundesliga to the Premier League, Edin Dzeko and Demba Ba, look ****e in comparison! He would have scored the goals needed for us to stay up.
Mark my words and watch this space."

He is perfect for QPR! He was outstanding playing for Freiburg in their little intimate stadium much like Loftus Road, I believe he would be perfect for us.

I think the price that triggered the release clause was fixed. Other clubs are able to come in and bid more if they want.
Cant seem him leaving for 8.5 with the form he's in. We could ask what we wwant if he's cleared of his charges. Im sure Arsenal or A.N.Other would pay more.

I don't know how many times it's been said, the £8 million is not negotiable, any team that offers that can have him if he agrees to go, so no-one can offer more as it's the player who will choose where he goes...

Ok, So what happens if (for example) Newcastle agree to the 8 mill & AN Other club step in and bid 10 mill.
All the agents, advisors & friends will persuade him to go to the team that bid the most, mainly because they get a bigger cut. I purposely didnt say Arsenal. Then a top 4 club offer more. It really doesnt matter what the agreement says (as long as it meets the min 8Mill), like you said its up to him and his advisors.
I wonder whats going to sway thier decisions then? Do you see my point?

PS. How do we know its not negotiable?..because Flyer said so...??

EDIT- Seems to me that EVERYTHING is negotiable in the Premiership right now !

Why would anyone offer more than £8 million? They would be throwing the extra away.

Of those that meet his release clause (assuming it still stands and hasn't expired) he will then go to the team that gets closest to meeting his personal ambitions, whatever they may be.

The player had the clause put in so HE could choose where he goes. That's why it doesn't matter if another club offered £20 million for him, it's not about the price it's about the player having a choice of several clubs all who are willing to pay £8 million. QPR would love more money but the player's contract says £8 million is the price...

Would £8m represent a profit or a loss for us? I can't remember what we paid for him. I thought we paid £8m for Remy and £12m for Samba.

Are we now saying that by offering him extra money it would not affect his decision which club he went too? Remember how we got him?
The players, agents etc all get a percentage, so the more he is given then the more he gets - make sense.?
I seem to rmember him supposedly going to Newcastle before we offered him more. Shows where his head is at?

    Read as above.
If he had a chance of getting 20% of 20Mill or 20% of 8Mill...where do you think he would go....answers on a postcard.(20% was an example figure)

Like i said, I understand what is written down in the contract (alledgedly)- What you are forgetting is what happened previously & what drives a large percentage of modern footballers...ie...his decision will be very much affected by who offers the most!!

Im sure if we get an offer of 40mill (example) from any Prem club- Thats where he will go.
The reason he wanted it put in is because he didnt want to be stuck with us if we didnt go or stay up. he was very much putting himself in the Prem shop window for the top 5 clubs & im convinced thats where he will end up.

The fee is £8 million regardless, if a club want to pay him and his leeches millions more that would be up to the buyers and him not QPR, but £8 million is all we'll get...

That doesnt make sense mate, but rather than carry on (because i fear we may go round in circles) lets wait and see what happens.

I know what it alledgedly says in his clause but I'll be suprised if there isnt a way around it.

    Should be intresting <ok>

It doesn't make sense because it was the reason he signed for us in the first place, the contract was on HIS terms, that's why he didn't sign for Newcastle when they thought they had him last January. You wouldn't choose a team that was rock-bottom and certanties to go down unless you had a deal that was solely to your own benefit...
