Not sure that the BBC have done this on purpose, but they have shown Hull in a terrible light on the documentary Neighbourhood Blues this week. If you were to believe what they have shown, Hull is a city film of cannabis growers and homeless vagrants..
Hopefully we will try real vibrant stuff rather turning all pseudo London.I sjould not worry too much about portrayals on TV of run down areas. They did a job on Scunthorpe recently. It is a seriously decent place -even their fans do not think they are hard but the media made it look lawless. The response of Hull to being given a chance is actually quite moving.Wee had 10 Leonardo drawings in our art gallery and I became a bit OCD.I could not walk past without going in.The biggest thing for me was that I could look from centimetres at drawings by possibly the most famous artist that ever lived and it was in Hull. Like many places away from the home counties we have missed out for far too long and I hope Sunderland and Boro are recipients of funding which is long overdue so all our country can show what the local people can do given a decent chance. Maybe if we ever get someone from an ordinary comprehensive as prime minister we will be in a better place. What is it about Eton that makes them more qualified than anywhere else to run the country?
Doubt he will be put on display again if recalled in Jan. Doubt SB will want to give him any confidence if he is leaving.
I was not meaning daft games. If Gedo and Sagbo are both fit I think we will go with them.Graham will still be used if needed but I meant I doubt Bruce will want to play Graham into goal scoring form ready to send him back to a team we could be battling with. I would imagine the recall option would be as pressing if our positions were reversed.I am sure we would do the same to you if we could. We need to improve our options in January. If Fryatt keeps scoring for Wendies I think he will be recalled or sold for a decent price to boost our budget. We may be in for Bendtner if he turns down Barca/Madrid-we need his brains here in the run up to "culture"
LIke I said, you're not in a position to pick and choose ........ if Graham's your best option Bruce will play him. He won't gamble with your survival in the expectation that Fletcher or Altidore may be injured after January, which is the only way Graham would get a game here.
I think Gedo is potentially the best forward we have .He was a cut above the rest until he started to carry his injury. He and Sagbo 1&2 and Graham 3rd imo.I think Fryatt would be 3rd now if available. We both look thin in event of injuries to strikers. We have a lowish ceiling on wages .Someone posted that so do you.Any ideas? This could be a big factor in Jan.Mediocre players going to non top 7 teams will see reduced terms I think
