Apologies - M.Beill, I.Berriman, R.Harmer & P.Johnson Welcome P.Mills opened the meeting. Review Of The Minutes The 4th November meeting was used to prepare the press release relating to the meeting with Dr. Allam at the KC Stadium. The press release was accepted as a true reflection of the group’s discussion Review Of Recent Action CTWD are happy that we have remained credible and morally correct during recent discussions about Dr. Allam. CTWD are disappointed by Dr. Allam’s attitude and the way he has presented himself in the media. The group continue to gather support and put plans in place to allow our supporters to become members. A public event is planned prior to the Stoke City home game on December 14th. Dr. Malcolm Clarke FRSA, Chairman of the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) and FA Council Supporters’ representative has agreed to speak at the event. The FSF is supported by the FA, the Premier League and the PFA (Professional Footballers Association). CTWD continue to gather evidence that the club are using the company name without FA permission. Action: Produce a video dossier of all inappropriate use of “Hull City Tigers” to send to the FA Council. Supporters to be asked to help provide examples. J.Greenwood to make video. C.Cooper to present to the FA Council. Disappointment was expressed that the FA haven’t already interfered in the matter given that Dr. Allam has publicly expressed his belief that the club is already “Hull City Tigers”. This is the first time the FA’s rule on the playing name has been tested. Membership Scheme M.Scott, C.Ball, P.Johnson, P.Mills and R.Harmer met last week to finalise plans for membership. Membership will be available through the web shop initially. An annual membership will be £2 per person. All members will be sent a membership card and a wristband. Action: F.Beill suggested the fee could be a minimum to allow people to donate more if they wish. A draft constitution has been written that will serve the campaign group. J.Forster from Supporters Direct (SD) has been contacted about the group’s long-term position. If the group were to look into becoming a supporters’ trust in the future, the constitution would have to be re-written as SD has specific guidelines. Action: M.Scott presented a quote for the membership cards. Need to ensure funding is available Public Event 14th December C.Ball & P.Johnson have secured Tigers’ Lair as a venue for the event. Dr. Malcolm Clarke is confirmed as a speaker for the event and the group await confirmation from a successful Hull City fan that he can also attend and speak. Local bands Vinnie & the Stars and Cuba Drive have been booked. The meeting will take place from 3-4pm with CTWD present from 2:30-4:30pm so that fans can pick up scarves, sign up for membership and ask questions. It was agreed that children will be welcome. Action: Invites will be sent to A.Jacks (FSF), D.Conn (The Guardian), G.Dyke (FA) and R.Scudamore (Premier League). M.Scott to action. Action: A leaflet will be produced and distributed prior to the home game with Liverpool on December 2nd advising all supporters of the membership scheme and public event. Next Steps The giant flag will be unfurled and signed before the Crystal Palace game on Saturday. The flag will be in West Park at 1:15pm for a photo opportunity. Supporters will be asked to come and sign the flag at the West Park gates before the game. More badges are available to be distributed too. Sub-groups The press group produced a press release which went out on Monday 18th November responding to some of Dr. Allam’s inaccuracies on the club’s name and calling for a supporters’ referendum. CTWD have already had responses from key members of the press to the release. The pedlars’ licences have not yet been approved. AOB A quote was obtained for postcards for fans to petition the FA and a PO Box address for them to be sent to. This has been placed on hold for the moment. CTWD are grateful to Hull City supporter Daniel Withers, now based in Kansas, USA, for suggesting “Tradition AND Ambition” as a tagline which the group plan to adopt. Daniel has been sent a scarf and badge with our thanks. I hope you are well, OLM. The shop and membership are excellent developments. I thought I saw you post that more details of the meeting were published; did I mistake that for these meeting minutes, if not, where can I find them?
A clear and precise statement from CTWD giving a plan of action and the thinking behind it. What a contrast to statements and reasons issued by the club for Dr Allams intentions.
I'm fine thanks Fez, my Pancreas packed up for a while and it wasn't much fun, but I'm all right now, other than the alcohol ban. Still, on the plus side, I've lost half a stone this week.
I did mention it to the doctor, but this was almost certainly down to me drinking every day. Apparently, you're supposed to give your pancreas a few days to recover every week, I gave mine only mornings...
Is 'with your meal' being economical with the truth, or is it really that easy to get ****ed over by booze? I suspect the former
I just realised, if there was ever a candidate for cutting out totally off topic posts into it's own, it's this one... May I suggest a title of "OLMs Pancreas - The bitterest pill"?
