Sunderland are not geordies. You might find some geordies on the mags board alongside the plakka mags who pretend they are geordies from places like Blackhall (right next to Hartlepool).

He's like an elderly relative who lives in the spare room ..... he lives on here and pops his head in now and again before farting & grunting then going away again.

The Hull board can't abide him so he's brought his comedy routine on her. Just a bit sad & harmless tbh.

I'm pleased Hull has won the City of Culture award . I once spent a year there; I think it was a Sunday.

Good luck to them I say...In my opinion it is a good thing that a northern city, that is like ourselves in desperate need of investment, is actually going to get some to improve their lot..

This disturbs me as it seems political to me

Phil Redmond added that the panel was "particularly impressed with Hull's evidence of community and creative engagement, their links to the private sector and their focus on legacy, including a commitment to enhance funding beyond 2017".

Phil Redmond was the chairman of the people who made the decision

Bit harsh that mate, somb been around these boards and the old 606 for years and for me is a sound lad <ok>.. He's probably big enough to stick up for himself but I'm giving him the heads up here. For the record, I was born in Sunderland but from about a year old brought up in Spennymoor so does that make me a plastic mackem?

Anyone who's easily bored should ignore this post.

I've never lived in the NE since I was 8 but have travelled to Sunderland games since I was 14.

As an exile I've never had a season ticket and always had to fight for tickets, especially away from home.

So, over the years, I've joined every club website in the country. That means that, if all else fails, I can get 'home' tickets for our away games.
It's not great, sitting at places like SJP or Leeds with the home supporters, but at least I can see the Lads.

Anyway, I've just had my usual Hull City email begging me to go to the match on Saturday. It's their first Premier League season, an important match and they're having to ask people to come.

Is this a boycott or just good old fashioned apathy?

"Our fans have already played their part at the KC Stadium this season and it’s time to do so again on Saturday when Crystal Palace are our opponents in an important fixture.

Backed by a passionate home crowd, the Tigers have recorded three wins and two draws from five Barclays Premier League home games and Steve Bruce’s side will look to continue their fine home form against the Eagles at the weekend.

You can play your part in backing the team with tickets for this fixture on sale now online, in person from the KC Stadium Ticket Office or by calling 01482 505600.

Tickets are priced £22 Adults, £15 Seniors (65+) & 16-22 Year-Olds, £5 Juniors aged 11-15, £3 Juniors aged 10 and under. Buy today!"

EDIT: Sorry but this made me laugh ......... I've just received my 'Villa e-mail' which is,

"Next opponent Sunderland
Saturday 30th November
Kick Off 3pm
Get your tickets now."

Nowt wrong with Glesgae mate apart from the fact it's western Europe's murder capital.
If you ever go to a Glesgae barber & ask for a shave just keep an eye on your throat though.
