Lets face it, even if the FA back the fans and refuse the name change his total disregard for the fans, his lying and his going back on promises made has surely made his position untenable. It's about time he sold up and left. Even if it means a rapid decline down the leagues then so be it. His spat with the council is irreversible due to his refusal to back down, things can only get worse off the pitch whilst he owns my club
"Allams say they saved Hull City as a gift for the city of Hull. Very nice. So how about now doing the next best thing then by handing it over to us and leaving whilst they can ?" Guess Who 2012?
What has that got to do with the name change ? I dont like it but IF it helps secure big investment then so be it.
Whooosh. This window licker only posts crap like this so he can have a 'debate' (an unintelligible rabble) with other window lickers.
You do understand they are your words & not mine don't you? Just trying to fathom why you thought they should be removed last year for getting rid of a manager yet this year they are fine getting rid of our name. Is there a specific reason apart from the Premier League? Why are you prepared to gamble our name on a big "IF" when last year you didn't believe they were able to employ a worthwhile manager?
I don't see his overall position as untenable, but on a more realistic note, how can he dig himself out of the pit he's disappearing into? He's going to need to keep face and credibility, so a refusal or action from the FA will melt the tits off him. If something done by the plans blocked him, his teddy's well out of the pram. I can't see it happening, but the only way I can see it is if he somehow plays it that he's met with supporters again and, despite not going ahead costing him money, he's agreed to keep the name as he realises how important it is to his people of Hull.
No I think we should let people like SuitedandBooted be heard. He is the true voice of CTWD and a true child of Thatcher.
He could quite easily climb out the hole; reverse the name change, apologise and admit it's due to the frustration about the KC/Council debate. I still think he sounds confused when I listen to his interviews, as he seems to think that the Commercial side of the Club and the Club's name are the same thing. "Tigers" hasn't always been in our Commercial name either as he seemed so adamant to point out because, correct me if I'm wrong anyone, didn't Adam Pearson install the "Hull City AFC Tigers Ltd." when he took over back in the noughties?
Covered on many other threads, he's more than aware of the difference between the company name and the Football CLub name of Hull City AFC registered with the FA. The Company name can and does change fairly often.
Actually they could also stay the same or get better. The Allams have hardly been terrible owners. This name change thing, and the threat to move the team down the road are clearly not wanted. In my opinion when you get rich ecentric owners you get what the title implies. I personally think given time they will cool off and be the owners we want them to be.
I haven't been as active as usual in case you haven't noticed, so apologies on missing that. I know it changes it lot, but listening to the interviews, Allam was keen to claim that "Tigers" had always been in the Club name, not as a nickname, but as part of the actual name. He said he "wasn't changing anything", just "shortening it". That's where I'm getting the impression he's confused, unless like many others, I'm just totally dumb-founded too...
FFS! Folks having a go at AA for his reponse to fans (chucking toys out of pram) and you come up with this? I'm stunned. Regarding my previous post about showing AA some respect, I would agree that he may have handled things badly and he could probably benefit from some decent PR/guidance but really? Comments like this are just fuelling it. I respect the campaign and peoples views and objections but wanting him out and being happy to watch the club decline? Ridiculous.
