Does anyone on here know if it's possible to upgrade a season ticket from a young adult to an adult for one game only? My son might not be going Saturday so I thought I would treat my wife if she plays her cards right!
You have to ring the box office .. 08444 777 007. It takes two minutes once they eventually answer the phone. You have to pay nearly the same amount as a full price ticket too. They have some convoluted way of telling you that the junior ticket is only valued at about £3 in their terms for some strange reason. When you add on the booking fee it's the same as a full price ticket. Very strange.
You should be able to get in with it. I've seen people use a kids ticket to get in, it wouldn't work so a steward even scanned the kids ticket for them. Just get in early enough to give you time to upgrade at the box office if you get turned away.
A bit pointless if its nearly full price. Its a young adult rather than junior so I'll see what they say. If its a lot I will try option B or the 'Flyer' option as I should call it!
CCJ It only takes a second to upgrade the ticket over the phone. I think the U16's ticket gets you a £10 discount on an adult's ticket. I wouldn't advise an adult trying to get in on an U16's ticket. There are security personnel looking at people entering the turnstiles. A light flashes if somebody enters on a kids ticket.
Cheers Finglas. I am not sure I could take the repercussions of any public humiliation of my wife so I shall be playing it safe!!
She was originally going to Westfield whilst we were at the game so I am probably taking an even more tight-arse option!
I've got in on my aunties OAP ticket a few times. So either they don't check very closely or I look like an over 60 woman! I presume it's the former......
Yes I have it at home. It's excellent. His wife Debbie wrote a book called 'touching from a distance' that gave a great insight.
I have heard of that book mate. Meant to be a very good read and very insightful of his mental issues. It seemed, to me anyway, that she was the real victim in their relationship. I never seem to have enough time to read but am trying to make a point of trying more. SB will be pleased i've finally started 'Homage To Catalonia'......
