I know that, but I remember reading somewhere he studied t hull uni upon his arrival, but it never said whether he graduated or not.
The simple answer is that he needs to go to SpecSavers....he read his name and thought it said 'Allah'
Good contrast there: Everton Supporters presenting the alternatives for fans to vote on - versus - AA's schemers putting the wrong name about.
I have just sent the following e-mail to [email protected] addresses to Mr Allam: Dear Mr Allam I have no intention of cancelling my existing season pass for Hull City AFC and wil continue to support the team no matter what. I would however like to state that I am totally against any attempt to change the clubs playing name from Hull City AFC as registered with the Football Association and reference FA rule A3L. Many thanks Maybe if every season pass holder sent a similar e-mail stating either for or against the playing name, he will have his referendum wether he likes it or not. Worth a try?
One of the blokes who was handing out leaflets. I recognised him in a photo on the CTWD Facebook page and the crazy face he was pulling gave me the inspiration to picture CTWD as super heroes. I think the Allam one is a powerful image though.
OLM, I didn't start a new thread re sending e-mails as there have been a lot, But it might be worth doing. I am pretty sure they won't ignore it if their e-mail system clogged up!!
I've got a response already... Many thanks for taking the time to email me to let me know. I will of course let Dr Allam know your stance.
Well said sir! As for suggested text for emails to Dr Allam, the above would suit the purpose to my mind.
Dear Mr Allam As a long time supporter of Hull City I felt the need to give you my views on your current proposed name change of my team. I do fully understand that vast amounts of money need to be generated to sustain a top flight club in England's Premier League, however there is absolutely no supporting evidence that suggests a change of name would increase revenue, the obvious way to increase popularity and revenue is to win things. I fully intend to keep this brief, however I would like to confirm that although I will not be withdrawing my support of the team by not attending matches, this in no way, shape or form means that I condone or support your proposed name change of my team. I would like to thank you for all of the good work that you and family have done for our club, but I think you have this one badly wrong. Yours sincerely
You keep saying the FA aren't happy, can you please post the letters/ emails from them so we can see for ourselves what their thoughts are.
