please log in to view this image I actually got one in my change a few weeks ago. First time I'd seen one in years.
Pals had one taped to his room ceiling for the best part of a decade now. I've tried to steal it a few times but the ****s always on the watch.
It's not just Scotland that will be looking for as much stability as possible after a yes vote , the rest of the UK will be too and a shared currency makes sense . If in the unlikely event that the rest of the UK decides they don't want a shared currency then Scotland will just have to have its own . Just like every other country in the world who aren't involved in sharing a currency . They all seem to manage alright but it's going to be a big deal for Scotland ? How the **** does that work ? I wonder if the ****s in the Soviet union had this stupid **** to put up with . No comrade we don't want to be an independent nation when the curtain falls because we are ****ed if we know what currency we would use . It should also be pointed out to some in here that Scottish banks already print Scottish money so therefor we already have a ready made currency .
We don't have our own currency. We do print our own notes under licence from the Bank of England which are not legal tender in England. They are accepted as a courtesy but don't have to be. So, of course if we go independent we will need our own currency. Or I have missed the point?
Shamelessly nicked; my feeling is that gaining independence (does it really exist anymore?) may give a bit of a buzz for a while but the yearnings it satisfies will be replaced by other unpleasant unintended or unforeseen consequences.
Actually we do have our own currency . The bank of England guarantees that currency but the Scottish government could quite easily do the same . Just like other countries do .
Most people I speak to are realistic about independence. Of course, you get a few who get carried away but most understand that it's not going to create some utopia where everyone is well off and we'll somehow be immune from global financial disasters.
We'll be fine when we chummy up to the chinks. Heard on Radio Scotland this morning that we're chasing an estimated 15 billion in tourism by getting the chinks to come here on their holidays.
If you do get indepedence how will it work out with your sporting bodies ie Will Scotland enter their own team in the Olympics? What about The British Open? The Eurovision? Only asking
