Why, what has Gedo ever done in this country to suggest he is a Premier League player. The jury is out for me. I hope he proves me wrong but gobsmacked was the word when we signed him. He needs a couple of cameo 30 minute runs from the bench first.
I think Gedo has been getting up to fitness for a while now. Since the summer, in fact. Now Bradley has used him for Egypt, I'd assume he's OK. And I hope SB gives him a chance....I'd dig it if he got the 'cameo' chances kc suggests. See if he can fit in/ work with Saggy. We could always do worse....
Scored some bloody good goals in a fine run of form whilst completely unfit and injured for a start? Why does it matter what country he does it in? If he's good enough then he's good enough, I think he's shown ability to compete at a high level with his national side.
Morning Stan. I must say I was shocked at seeing you've posted a 'football' thread. Did you almost accidentally put O/T in the title?
I'd go with Gedo and Sagbo together. For me Gedo is the only out and out goalscorer at the club, whilst Sagbo is scoring goals he still likes to come deep and get involved in the build up, Gedo's the type of player who'll only touch the ball in the opposition box, which is the sort of thing we're missing at the moment. A team of: McG Rosie McShane Davies Figueroa Elmo Livermore Huddlestone Brady Gedo Sagbo Is probably our best available at the moment, harsh on Meyler as I thought he'd had a few good games but we need more bodies getting forwards.
That's how I'd expect it to be, personally I think we need a goal hanger, the rest of the side is quite capable of defending at home, we need someone who will connect with some of the crosses that are in the 6 yard area and cleared unchallenged, or will go beyond a defence rather than coming deep.
