Brilliant It's like those annoying people that spend 10 minutes in shopping getting rid of all their 1 and 2p coins
On similar lawsuit thing, saw this online today. Not 100% if true but wouldn't surprise me. Makes me feel sick how people get money for things like this. Massive blame culture these days.
For a teacher to achieve that level of damages she would have to be able to prove that she had done irrepreparble harm to her voice to the extent that she was unable to continue teaching. Now I don't know how old she is but if my assumption is right then £150,000 is NOT untoward.
Pisses me off. I was driving in Bristol last week and a cyclist almost ran into me. I was making a pre-signalled, legitimate manoeuvre and he was overtaking on the inside. I stopped in time luckily, but if I'd have hit him, I -the big nasty motorist- would have got the blame, even though the fault was entirely his.
Amazing, isn't it? I don't think I've been anywhere where the cyclists behave so badly. I saw a woman rider glare at a pedestrian who unknowingly drifted across her path- on the pavement, and a bloke riding down a fully pedestrianised area who almost ran over a lad of about 9 or 10. He jammed his anchors on, and as soon as the boy's dad had taken him out of harm's way he carried on riding, without a word of apology, with the same lack of caution. These were the two worst incidents, but there were several others.
shame this isnt true, good way to play these batards at their own game. ps just as many idiots in cars as there are cyclists, motorbikes and pedestrians, in Amsterdam the cyclists are quite bad, well used to be.
We all know there are plenty of idiots about, many of them motorists- my point was that in an incident with a car it's always the car driver that gets the finger of blame pointed at them, regardless of the circumstances. Anyone using the road is obliged to follow the same set of rules to ensure the safety of themselves and others. Yes, I'm a motorist and a pedestrian nowadays- but for many years I was also a cyclist and a motorcyclist. I've made mistakes during all three activities, but it was the attitude that riled me in the incidents I mentioned.
I tell you, it's getting to the point where I don't want to drive in Bristol anymore - and I live here!!! Cyclists are a total ****ing PITA, they don't have an ounce of road sense, hell, there are many, many cycle lanes in and around the city, and on the outskirts, but you still see them riding in the middle of the ****ing road!!!
