The FA's handling of the Wimbledon situation actually makes it more likely that they will do something now, they got crucified last time, that won't want a repeat of that fiasco. AA has asked for no name change, he is currently using a name without the authorisation of the FA and the FA are currently gathering evidence of that misuse. The club can't do anything about changing the name until next year, we have plenty of time to get things in place and the wheels are already turning.
This ^^^^^^^^^ ....and Happy "never suggested doing nothing", so we're all OK and in agreement, then?
The FA are not happy with the current situation, we're working with them to try and get action taken and as long as things are progressing, we'll continue to work with them. Currently, they can only act against this seasons use of Hull City Tigers, as this isn't the registered playing name of the club, only when AA actually applies to change the playing name of the club will things really kick off and at the moment there's been no such application.
Farting about as he is, is simply leaching money out of the club for no good purpose. I see us as a football Club that needs funding rather than an out and out business, but even from his business perspective, we must be losing value as a brand with the mess he's making of our image.
Surely the FA only rules against the playing name, and that is still, as far as I'm aware, Hull City AFC? He hasn't changed that, he's just made it clear that's what he's intending to do. Names on facilities etc are not in the scope of the FA so I don't understand what they'd have the hump over, if they do in fact have the hump over anything. Specifically, where is the bit the FA approves being currently misused?
The club are currently telling all other clubs to refer to us as Hull City Tigers on all programmes, promotional material etc(we have emails from all the clubs we've played away so far, all confirming this), hence the billboard at the Everton game and various other examples. This is against FA rules, as Hull City Tigers in not our playing name and can't be used as such. AA thinks that when he changed the company name to Hull City Tigers Limited, he also changed the playing name to Hull City Tigers, but he didn't.
We have indeed, they've asked for copies, which we're obviously supplying, along with the full minutes from our meeting with AA(more details on the minutes I've just posted).
This forum is like one bloody big roundabout sometimes OLM, I'm quite sure Allam knows the playin name is currently Hull City, I think he's trying to be a clever bastard and find loopholes to have us referred to as the holding company name. The way he evaded questioning on it on his media interviews goes some way to confirm this, he never answered the question. I can't for one minute believe that he's so thick not to understand what a 5 year old could. He's just trying to be clever bastard.
I think you're being generous to him, he categorically stated in his interviews that the clubs name registered with the FA is Hull City Tigers and it isn't.
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Assem Allam claim he rescued the club for the people of Hull when he bought it? He is now throwing that in the face of the very people he allegedly bought the club for. To say "if you are not happy with the name change, surrender your season pass and I will refund you is an insult"! What this really boils down to is Assem Allam bought the Club for Assem Allam. He was lured by the prospect of making £m's form the club, the stadium, the surrounding land, things that have all been debated before, but now he has shown his true colours. For me personally, I support the team, not the regime. Aseem has undone all of the good he did when he bought the club and the sooner he spits his dummy out some more and ****s off the better! I will continue to attend the games as Hull City AFC is my football club and has been since long before he took off his Fez and put on our crown! Why should I surrender my pass because this imbecile is too pigheaded to ask in proper manner? Who in their right mind is going to surrender their season pass, as this fails the team, not proves Assem correct. We all know this all boils down to his spat with the council! He is a 74 year old baby! Time to have your nappy changed, have your milk and off to bed Assem!
But surely option 3 cannot commence until it is clear that options 1 & 2 are exhausted, as I'm assuming that option 3 is some form of Class Action against AA or/and The FA?
I'm starting to get concerned now, it looks like the Allam family have managed to get a full five more friends/family to click on the like button https://www.facebook.com/pages/Yes-To-Hull-City-Tigers-Hull-Tigers/223353941159531
I don't think he said the playing name? When quizzed about it he just shunned off and said "the name 'Hull City Tigers' is registered with the FA and the companies house" didn't he? So he wasn't specifying which name he was on about. He really isn't that thick that he couldn't distinguish an apple for an orange, I know he looks a cabbage in those interviews, but there's no way he's studied for degrees (did he graduate from Hull Uni?) and made himself the business man he is, winning countless prestigious awards along the way, if he was less intelligent than Kirk on corry.
I have say that I've also thought this all along, until, that is, I saw the poster advertising the Everton match! That is pretty irrefutable evidence that Mr. Allam sees our team name as being already changed to Hull City Tigers, and is coercing other clubs to advertise the fact. If that isn't seen as sticking two fingers up to The FA then I don't know what is! Over to you blazers!
