The way Warner's playing, he'll either knock off a quick fire 50 or be out next over!
    Hoping for the later!

    well... hang on there alds.

132-6 to 273-8 isn't exactly a dominating clear up and i have to say if the aussies have 300 in their pocket bowling at us this game could go either way still.... the scores this summer were not far off this.

In short england have a lot to do to make a win out of this one.

Don't worry about MITO. He's a bit like that <laugh>

That's an excellent start in absolutely perfect batting conditions. Slight shame we didn't fully twist the knife at 132 - 6. but if you'd have given me 273 - 8 before play, I'd have ripped your arm off.

Superb response by Broad to all the **** he's had. Do your talking on the pitch is the way to do it <ok>

I see my team prediction came out right. That's deffo what I would have gone for. Whip those last two out early doors tomorrow, and then let's see the top of the order do their stuff. There's no way we'll have a repeat of the failures in the Summer.

    Great start <ok>

That's a superb first day. One partnership is all to take the game slightly back in the Aussies court, I would say our batsmen are more than capable of seeing that and raising it.

Got this horrible feeling Siddle will make a tidy little thirty odd while Haddin gets his ton so we'll end up looking at 350 but that's till easily surmontable if we play well.

Which is obviously the crux, as always.

Will miss this whole test, just caught the last hour on TMS driving to work and twenty minutes on TV while having a cup of tea before setting off. That will be repeated tomorrow then I'm off to North Wales the weekend where things such as TV and radio don't exist, same as phone signals, so i'm ****ed.

There are four more so I'll live. Need a bit of mountain time anyway.

Got a few sleepless weekends coming up though eh? The boxing day test is a beaut, after a full day of christmas food and beer you turn on the telly and fall asleep to the cricket.

Will The Cheese stay open through for ya?

TMS for me all the way. The cheap Sky has been taken out of the Cheese. She's been struggling somewhat. I'm a tad concerned that The Cheese may not even be operational by Christmas, which will **** my drinking up considerably. The Bridge Bar has already closed <yikes>
