I can already see Assem's marketing team working on our new team name and nickname with our city of culture success - there will be ways we can make money from that accolade Instead of Hull City or 'The Tigers' we'll become Hull Tigers or 'The City' (of culture)
Sorry, but you're a pathetic wum and I'm not responding to your nonsense any longer. When you get back to the FC board, send them my love.
At least you admit you're a pathetic wum who spouts nonsense. Well done, the first first step to recovery is admitting.
My opinion differs from his, yours and my stalker friend. So technically they are correct because that is how they perceive me. The reality is that I have a different opinion and don't have a cry in the corner when someone resorts to name calling.
The vote at the FA will be the deciding factor. Just as it was last month, the month before as well as tomorrow. I wonder what the reaction of the Premier League and the FA will be to a club telling its supporters if they don't like it there's the door. Especially when the Premier League rules say that on all major issues stakeholders should be consulted. Whatever it is I think it'll be behind closed doors. I've already said I don't know what they mean by consultation. I doubt its, "if you don't like it have your money back because I've already done it/will do it." Wotnoash, I'm sorry you were sworn at. Emotions are running high on both sides and I try and take that into account in how I conduct myself. If I see something I don't like in someone's behaviour I'll have a private word first.
I liked Gary Barlow better when he was fat with blonde spikey hair rather than pretending to be Mumford and sons with his 17 acoustic guitarists as back-up. Thank you for asking.
What I really don't get about the handful of people on here (unless they're just WUM's) that keep posting their support for Allam, is that their point regarding his investment in the club is a largely irrelevant point. Not because the investment was/is unimportant, but because virtually everyone opposing the name change has also acknowledged it's importance. If you are serious about having an honest discussion, even a "don't really care/ he's the owner, he can do what he likes" position has to be critical of the fact that he has lied and is behaving in a way that is arrogant and careless of peoples feelings and views.
Obi, I've asked OLM in another thread but on the off chance I don't get a response off him, may I ask you? Much is made of Dr Allam going back on his word from that meeting, I understand you were all of one mind there, and someone agreed to provide alternative commercial proposals. Who did that and how is that going?
Your posts are so tedious. Just the same thing recycled again and again. You know full well that CTWD pushed for a referendum because that's what Allam promised. You've had this explained to you time and time again yet you keep ignoring it and keep on coming back with the same old crap repeated again and again. Can you admit from the evidence in the public domain that Allam is a liar? I doubt it because that'll be a bit uncomfortable won't it? Considering you're so determined to support him and his crackpot schemes.
Why don't you look through your OCD indexed posts labelled by Category/Topic/Sub-Topic and you will be able to cut and paste it on here. You know you want to.
Again nothing to offer, you appear a sad homophobic with poor taste in music who's against all opinions yet has no valid opinions of his own.
They just come on here to wind people up. No sensible person can look at this situation and be happy with the way Allam is behaving. The key point always was and still is that there has been no research into if a name change would bring in more investment. I just feel very angry and incredulous that this man is so twisted that on the day this City has hit the headlines and when we should all be proud and pulling together he still comes out with statements goading the supporters, the people that actually put money into the club, his customers, where is the sense in that. This City will be globally recognised which is so ironic as he has told us City has to be dropped to get us recognised. Any normal business man would be jumping for joy with a team called Hull City getting free publicity all over the world because of the City of Culture announcement. He just seems to have hit the self destruct button. I just don't bother reading the posts of the trolls on here because they really have nothing sensible to say.
Irony at it's finest. Anyhow, as the minutes of "the meeting" are still secretive, where is the evidence that Allam ever promised a referendum? Lying is a strong accusation. Where Mr Allam may have been economical with the truth however is with the notion of research. Research would usually involve consulting with subject matter experts, reviewing key case-studies, and possibly undertaking some market research. I'm pretty sure this is not the type of research that will be done. The research will more likely be which forms does the Club need to fill in to abide by the FA/Premier League rules on name changes. However that is his prerogative. You can vilify me all you want for accepting this situation. However the fact is he's going to do it anyway and I've therefore already made the choice that you will all face when it comes time to renew your season passes next year. The reality is that most will do this particularly if we stay in the Premier League. Ok some will continue their personal protests about never buying merchandise from the club shop again, but in the grand scheme of things this will neither bring in or deny the level of revenue generation that Allam needs to plan for.
Yep and sadly I imagine this will continue. But there'll still be plenty still willing to bend over without asking why. Everything is for sale.
