    Toon starlet keeps his place.

    Following a well-received debut against Wales, Magpies midfielder Mackenzie Heaney has retained his spot in the Scotland U16 squad for the deciding game of this year's Victory Shield competition.

    The 14 year-old native of Walker is included for the meeting with England at the Stark's Park home of Raith Rovers in Kirkcaldy on Friday, 29th November.

    Kickoff is at 7.35pm and the game is live on Sky Sports. Victory for the Scots would see them win the trophy outright for the first time since 1998.

    I'm a bit out of touch with some of our youngsters, but I hadn't even heard of this kid before today.

    Anybody seen him play or heard how good he is?

    I wouldn't worry how good he is at 14 due to the fact very few good uns at that age ever make it to the top. Let's see the reports at 17/18 years, however, not convinced our coaching staff are good enough to bring him on.
