I've never even heard of Keirrison. He can't have been hyped that much.

Reyes was held back by his sheer stupidity. Doesn't have 2 brain cells to rub together, amazing he manage to live in a foreign country, although it probably wasn't much different considering he could barely speak spanish til his teens either.

Brazilian teenager + signing for Barca = overhyped

...apart from the fact he wasn't hyped at any point, and Barca were rightly lampooned for the transfer. After all, they spent €14m on a player they never intended to play, merely loan out and hope he banged in goals so a club would take a punt on him and Barca would rake in the profit. The two problems with this is you can't make much of a profit on €14m, and at the same time they signed Keirrison they could've signed Radamel Falcao from River Plate for less than €4m.

Keirrison should've been smarter and took a similar path to Neymar.

Neymar rejected multiple offers over the years to stay with Santos, went on to become the best player in Brazil and also a star on the international stage before joining a big European club. Now has 4 goals in 11 league games which includes a goal on his first El-Clasico. Not bad for a 21 year old eh?

Not great for a £50m striker touted as the best in the world by some.

Depends how you want to look at it, at Barca Messi is the main man and all the other players on the pitch will always look to play a pass to him rather than anyone else so it might be hard for Neymar to get the service (this is a guess though, I haven't watched Barca lately so not sure how many chances Neymar has had to score and what not). It'll be interesting to see how he does now as Messi is out for a few weeks, so they'll need him to step up.
