So the thing here is i don't think 1,2,3 or 5 will actually be frees. I thin kthey will be sold or sign new contracts. the wolfsburg i i can't comment on. in other words if we convince one of these to move to us on precontract OR buy them in january this would be good... none are a degen anyway.
We're in desperate need of a DM therefore I don;t think we'll be waiting until the summer to sign them on a free. However, it does mean that we can pick them up for a low offer in January to expedite the transfer.
We need another specialist RB so Montoya on a free would be a good deal. Johnson is in his prime at the moment so another year or two will start going down and having a young Montoya as back up for a year before pushing for a first team place along with McLaughlin a few years behind him pushing would be ideal. Matuidi I can't say I've ever seen although have heard many good thigns said about him by people on here and elsewhere. A player in his prime on a free who not only is a DM, which is what we are crying out for, but also is comfortable and brave on the ball, which is something BR has said is what is needed. Menez, seen him a couple of times and looked alright, but not seen enough to make a real judgdment. Same with the others.
