How is it as simple as that? That proves nothing at all ... it would mean that your playing his game ... So what you are stating is if I go on Saturday I am not against the change well your wrong I am against it.... It is not that black and white at all. What that does mean is nothing will stop you supporting Hull City AFC. Allam is saying like it or lump it I aint bothered ... total arrogance.
It's valid thought, and I understand someone has already bought the rights to the name, however I fear that it's probably pointless as this has gone to far now, a man like Allam will not cave in, his pride will not allow it, and if he can't call it Hull Tigers due to the actions of others I honestly wouldn't put it past him to call it Assem's Camels, or something equally ridiculous.
We made Sky News, not Sky Sports News, but Sky News... http://news.sky.com/story/1171274/hull-chief-offers-ticket-refund-to-unhappy-fans
I had noticed that and it made me laugh knowing how you'd react. It's also something when the standard of English is higher on here. Hearts in the right place but nah, I don't do FB groups, I have everything I need right here.
I hope nobody decides to cut their noses off to spite their face. We are Hull City Football Club.................NOTHING will ever change that. It's not about players, it's not about managers. it's not about owners, it's not even about daft name changes..........it's about us the fans. Lets stick together and turn up to support the team and not throw away what we have waited so long for.
Agreed. I know many who are not happy about it but would never think of asking for there money back. They shall simply NOT buy anything with anything other than Hull City on it. FACT.
How has he? While the club are still Hull City AFC (which they are) I will attend. This is in no way me showing my support to the deluded ****er and his petulant plans. If he gets his own way and the name change actually goes ahead then I will no longer attend.
He's called nobody's bluff, he's just come out with a little bit more nonsense and improved CTWD's membership prospects.
Supporters´ group advises against Hull City boycott A Hull City supporters' group has advised fans not to take owner Assem Allam up on his offer to refund disgruntled season ticket holders. The Egyptian, who intends to change the club's name to Hull Tigers in time for the 2014-15 season, had earlier shunned the opportunity to consult fans and claimed he would refund their season tickets if they did not back the rebrand. However, a spokesman for the leading campaign against the changes urged fans to remain patient and focus on the club's performances on the pitch. "I think you can disagree with the name change while still supporting the team," Andy Dalton of the City Till We Die campaign group told Perform. "There's no need to stay away just yet, anybody that does stay away, that's their decision to make, and people are becoming increasingly aggrieved by some statements that are coming out of the club. "But there's definitely no reason to stay away at the moment. We can still support the team. They're doing very well and it's a pleasure to watch. "We can do all those things while opposing the name change. "Some people may feel that they don't wish to spend their money down there on a Saturday any more, but I think the majority understand that the name hasn't changed and I don't think it ever will to be completely honest." And Dalton suggested that supporters did not necessarily disagree with Allam's ownership of the KC Stadium club, despite the ongoing dispute over its name. "We're not even particularly opposed to the owner himself," he continued. "It's just one very strange idea he's got that we disagree with. "I think people will continue supporting the team, while still stressing their opposition to overturning 109 years of history. "We still want to very much focus on supporting Steve Bruce and the team. We want to do those things and, before the game, register the fact that we're not happy and that we want the club to go in a different direction. "Ultimately, all we want is to put this nonsense behind us and 100 per cent support the team." Dalton confirmed that the group would now consider asking the club to reconsider the decision not to consult the fans. http://us.soccerway.com/news/2013/November/20/supporters-group-advises-against-hull-city-boycott/
I wasn't being literal Strov! I don't mean *everything ever" I just mean in regards to Mighty Tigers news and banter.
Of course AA will use Saturday's attendance as 'proof' that the number of dissenters is very small. Counting just home fans I'm sure the attendance will be a few hundred less then the Sunderland game, playing into his hands of this 'couple of hundred' in the minority as he stated last week.
