Which would be fine, if this was a democracy. It isn't. He owns the club. That makes him responsible for the bills and the profits. If we want a new striker in January he will foot the bill. He bought the club and bailed it out. He owns it. Would you have a "fair" vote on who drives your car on Saturday night? Of course not. You'd say "hang on it's my car I decide where it goes", and quite right too. We cannot force Assem into doing something, we have to persuade him. Calling him a **** on here as some have done this morning is not going to help. He has adopted this attitude because he perceives that people are trying to tell him what to do. It may be too late now, but conciliation and discussion would probably have been more successful than abuse.
Fair comment, fair position. I hope you win, but I doubt it now because Assem thinks he's being bullied. I fear the abuse brigade who support you may have done your position more harm than those that disagree with you.
I have said it before and I will say it again, he will not change is mind now, as he will lose face, and Egyptian really will do anything rather than lose face. I think the only and best cause of action is to lobby the FA, as if they see a large number of fans opposed to the change, then they are likely not to approve it.
But its not down to him. He signs the application form and sends it in. The final decision is made by the FA. It may be they feel they are being bounced and bullied into changing our name. It may get the same response and they dig their heels in as well.
Firstly regarding his 'footing the bill for a new striker'. We wouldn't need a new striker if we'd just signed Long in August instead of trying to change the deal at the last minute - I wonder whose idea that was. Anyway this is another post where you've gone off on a tangent after losing a debate. Your point was that season ticket holders only isn't a good enough representation. That concern was addressed so now you'e claiming there shouldn't be consultation at all, despite your own position seeming to support it only an hour ago and despite Allam's promise. You can't keep changing the goalposts with your points. All three of you opposed to the campaign are doing this as your arguments get weaker with every post. Hope you change your mind Kempton. We're still HCAFC for now.
If we count the number of returned passes that would be a vote in its own way. I just spoke to another season ticket holder walking his dog >He is also in East stand and said that nobodt who sits near him seems to be bothered. We both are in agreement that we are glad for what AA has done-and we do not know what his long term aims are.If a billionaire Chinese man was born in the year of the Tiger we may find out then.AA does not have the funds to sustain a Prem team in Hull.Neither does OLM I would guess-and I do not want the self opinionated amateurs on here running the club by committee thanks.
Nobody is asking for the club to be run by committee, or for the owner to leave, or any other dramatic nonsense. This is simply a campaign to stop a pointless name change, that is being done without research, without benefit and without any fan involvement. It's absolutely wrong for a football club owner to behave in this way and it's perfectly right that a large amount of people feel moved to oppose it.
As you well know, it's CTWD who are calling for fan involvement and research, it's our owner who is refusing both.
