Just put it under the grill. ****ing yes. While you're all getting hungry thinking about bacon cooking, I discovered something horrendous this weekend gone. My friend Steve likes a good bacon roll. So he offered and I obliged. I followed him into the kitchen to have a cig and would you believe it, there he was putting bacon into the microwave. He ****ing nukes it! I was shocked. I've been eating microwaved bacon all this time! ****ing hell! What is the world coming to?! And we're out of brown sauce. Nips.
Duly noted and delivered. I always suspected something was wrong with the bacon. I didn't even realise it would cook properly in a microwave, so it wasn't something I was fully aware of. Yeah, I prefer crispy bacon. Fried is ok but it's just now how I'd cook it. Don't eat lettuce or tomato, they're salad veg and they're for ****ing pussies. A quick pop to the shop sorted that conundrum out.
Our lass and her mam do it in the microwave. It's still nice because its bacon but its ****e compared to grilled. I'm slowly moving our lass away from the microwave and to the grill, but she still tries to use the microwave when she thinks I'm not looking. Although if you microwave it in a bowl you can get it nice and crispy just as if its been fried, it ain't too bad like that.
We have a special browning plate for cooking meat in the microwave that is meant to be good for bacon but I just cant bring myself to put bacon in the microwave its just not natural
Veggie Soup for me dinner today. Made better the fact it's homemade. Then back to work this afternoon.
I didn't even know you could microwave bacon! I had a Greggs Festive Bake, first one ever and it was unreal! Might have another later this afternoon if I get hungry!
Much more important than how it's cooked is the type of bacon !! Even the best dry cured supermarket bacon is ****e I get proper dry cured bacon from the local farm shop where it is cut there & then for you to whatever thickness you want Bacon should of course be grilled or fried & with good bacon there should be virtually no shrinkage & no water or scum when cooked
FFS ...just think yourselves lucky you can have Bacon at all ... God I miss mine, even microwaved would do for me atm.
