Assams version of 'in full' isn't quite as you describe. "The club will be more than happy to oblige by paying them back in full, on a pro rata basis, if they are not happy with the plans to rebrand the club." Surely, starting a new club and seeing how many follow him would be a better reflection?
Hull is my 'home town' team, always will be irrespective of the name. I've supported them through thick and thin and will continue to do so whatever the name. The Allams have poured an enormous amount of money into the club to enable it to prosper again, that said they have always maintained they would manage it as a business and at some point anticipate that they will want some if not all their money back out along with a profit ideally. Who they sell to and what league we are in will dictate that outcome to a great degree. The bottom line is I feel we owe the Allams more than they owe us, its their business and therefore any minority faction that feels it will 'change' the name or direction the club is taking, is naive under the current structure. Yes by all means make any fans (CTWD) concerns public, if nothing else it will communicate a strength of feeling for the owners to take note of, nothing less, nothing more. Matters could have evolved a lot worse but not much better during the stewardship of the Allams, so for that they have my support. I'm not convinced the proposed name change will serve any real commercial benefit, but at c£60m the Allams have invested a huge sum of money in what was a club on the brink, so feel they have paid heavily for the privilege to be able to consider the implications of a name change. Yes they appear autocratic in their decision making, they could show some empathy, however its served them well at face value thus far during their business careers to date so unlikely to change I suggest.

I just don't feel as if either body gives a single ****. I really would approach FIFA itself with that bribe Obadiah mentioned yesterday, Blatter will accept a bribe we already know that and he can force the FA's hand.
The Premier League is an organisation of Football Clubs. Their reason for being is to make money and huge amounts of it. Everything else is irrelevant. That's reality.
The FA will (hopefully) want to show they have control over Clubs, so they will want something to show that their permission has been sought and that they've wanted something that demonstrates that the change fits with their ethos. How much proof/information is the million dollar question. I can't see the Premier League chairmen giving a ****e. If anything, accepting it would give them more freedom, refusing it wouldn't alter a thing for them as far as I can see.
It is a tad optimistic, and ignores MKDons. Then again Allem's shown he knows what the outcome of a referendum of pass holders would be, by running scared from it. If the FA want to seem even the slightest bit credible, they should take that into account. IF.
That's what I said. Do Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur think they'll make more money with fancy sounding US names or by keeping traditional English ones? If the latter they'll stop the likes of Hull City and Cardiff City changing their names. The big increase in money this season has come from BT, what's their attitude to Manchester City becoming Manchester Hunter? Money talks and whilst we have more than Leeds united we are nowhere near the wealth of Arsenal and Manchester United. We are a medium sized fish in a big pond. As I said we'll see after April.
You should have consulted with us first your intention to change his name. Then nobody you have had an issue.
Dutch, Allam has just given pass holders a referendum. He's given them the option to be refunded in full if you don't support the name change. Dare I say, he's won. Despite as Dutch says they didn't give a **** about MK Dons which was a far worse situation, they really will not give the slightest **** about us just changing our name a bit.
Ah, that answers something I mentioned further up. Basically you feel smaller clubs changing their names presents the wrong image of the Premier League and negatively affects the bigger clubs?
The Premier League will behave in exactly the same way as they have in the past. They will be unwilling to dictate to owners how they run their businesses, especially when it's to do with them increasing their ability to maximise income streams.

What happened with MK Dons will make it more likely that the FA will act this time, they were crucified for their stance and will be in no hurry to make the same mistake again. As for the Premier League, they don't like club owners embarrassing them and they'll certainly find this embarrassing. Will that be enough to make them act? Who knows.
