Good luck to Iceland tonight, hope you don't get a visually impaired ref.

Thanks for all the numerous lattes and occaisional alcoholic beverage, hopefully another tomorrow morning in celebration.

So who do we want to see in the World Cup, Ronaldo or Ibramovic - personally I hope its the latter.

I echo what has been stated by others and hope that Iceland make it through tonight. Another significant match for the one of the countries involved takes place in Slovakia tonight as it's Gibraltar's first match as a full member of UEFA/FIFA.

Ak, thanks for all the tea and may I suggest that you remove jerzeypie from the drinks list as he's on here so little.

Yep fingers crossed for Iceland tonight - would love to see them qualify. Shameless name dropping but I bumped into their Ambassador yesterday and he's rather excited about it!

Let's just hope that when UEFA makes the draw for the 2016 European Championship qualifiers it doesn't pair Gibraltar with Spain <yikes>

Oh bugger - Anya has limped off injured in Scotland's match in Norway' probably means another 2-3 weeks without him. <steam>

Bondy not having to do much in the England v San Marino match - in danger of catching hypothermia instead of a ball.

I don't think Bond even touched the ball - clean sheet on your England debut though.

Little Miss W_Y is there with the OB team.

Real blood and thunder stuff in Paris tonight. Shortage of skill, but very exciting stuff. France have scored the two goals needed to draw level in the first half, with the second one only 1 or 2 yards offside. Ukraine will not finish this game with 11 players on the field I suspect. To say they are a physical side is an understatement.

Second half just started. Ukraine now down to 10 men after a second yellow.

That's it, France scrapped through, but cannot see a great deal of quality in the side. The entire stadium was a mass of flags with the fans. It really does help to ramp up the atmosphere. Take note 1881.;)

Agreed ... posted on another thread that I enjoyed the game but mainly just watching the quality of the German reserves ... had never heard of Sidney Sam before last night but he looks a far better player than Sturridge or Wellbeck .. yet he might not be even get on the German plane ..

We need a rethink ... time to ditch a number of players ... currently only have 3 on 'my plane' ... guaranteed Townsend ... potential reservations for Lallana and Kieran Gibbs ... every other seat still up for grabs (sentimental one for Gerrard possibly - need a couple of older heads -which might be good news for Shrek too) ..

Morning all from a cold and wet bandit country - off sick today as I seem to have some stomach problems.

I gave up with the whole England thing years ago - until the FA makes some rudimental changes to the structures of football in this country we are going to continue to be a 3rd rate football nation. But still as the 3rd rate hacks keep telling us - the Prem is the best league in the world! So that's OK then.

Agreed... Great Prem = Lousy national side

and yes.... we don't seem to have the players these days. I even thought we would have done better with some of our older ex-national side players. But that is not the point is it.

I think we need a total rebuild and how on earth wee manage to bring on enough top rate players when the prem is flooded with foreign flair players I do no know....

Bad enough at Watford eh.... serious point..
