Iâve just had a call from a good friend who is in the know. Apparently there has been a tremendous amount of interest in our replay game at York in the FA Cup. Take up and bookings for trains and coaches indicate that there will be a large following of Rovers away support. On what he says, I estimate that the Rovers will take between one and two thousand supporters to travel to York to watch the game. I know our red friends with their minimal support for the FA Cup will be up in arms so I will take bets. I will offer even money on any bet placed. Just send your bets to the Phillipines Relief Fund and let me know what the amount is and I will cover the bet. I will take your word for the amount you place. Be sensible, keep to pocket money, let's say no more than a fiver and donât bet what you canât afford because I know I am going to win!! I'm not here to make any money, it's just for a bit of fun and possibly help for some seriously disadvantaged people. Of course you may want to contribute more to the fund. That's an option for you to choose if you wish. Please don't take this thread too seriously!!
Have to agree, On a dark cold Tuesday evening with England Germany on TV anything close to 1000 would be pretty impressive!
'with England Germany on TV' Is a bloody good reason to drive 200 miles to watch a game that matters. PS - Top marks if you take more than 500. Top marks for any Rovers fan that goes.
