Might I recommend The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and His Lover? It's britsh, has violence, sex, cannibalism and has a quirky arty feel as when the change rooms the outfits do too. The use of english is a pleasure to boot. Michael Gambon plays a belter and a young Helen Mirren gets her mott out, repeatedly.
