Not a fan of taking off... don't mind the middle bit although is exceptionally boring but landing is my fav. Love sitting by the window watching the land get closer and closer. Anyone watch the fear of flying programme on C4 yesterday? Was footage from their smart phones of 4 people who were going on holiday, was quite amazing how **** scared they get!
Saw it advertised but I didn't fancy it, I know what those poor ****ers were going through and it aint funny. Sitting in my seat trying to remain calm or at least appear calm but inside my head it's like a bomb's gone off. Sweaty palms, racing heart, dry mouth, fighting the urge to rip off the seatbelt and escape and that's all before they even close the doors! Yes I know I should man up.
The only funny thing is that, it's statistically the safest way to travel... everyone knows and says more likely to be in a car crash than a plane crash. Only thing is, you have less control over the plane crash and also it is normally a lot scarier as it doesn't just happen, you obviously go from 30k feet to 0 knowing something is going wrong. I'm not scared of flying... I'm scared of the plane crashing and me dying
Yeah so do I, middle bits boring but as im getting older ive discovered i can sleep betteer in a sitting pos so that passes the time Taking off and landing are the cool bits!
my ex was an air stewardess and its not dangerous, well its a dangerous activity done well All the flights in all the world that take off and how many crash is a very very small percentage
