It's not southerners that are particularly the issue, its londoners (and I live in London, I should know), support and atmosphere is so sterile and gentrified. It's why twickenham has a **** atmosphere and most london clubs too. Much more tribal and intense up north
Another ****fest about Townsend on ITV He ran down the line a lot, didn't put 1 decent cross in, had 1 good shot followed by 3 or 4 poor ones.
I think Townsend is a good player that is direct with pace and provides width. He's not as good as the media make out, which English player is? However, he is exactly what we (Liverpool) lack too. Sterling, Ibe, etc are not ready.
