So that's Germanys B team? Not even their youth team, just their B team. I know we gave a run out to some younguns too but christ, we're miles apart from them. Our oldies are getting too old, and our younguns really aren't as good as they think they are.

Andros I like. Sturridge drives me insane. Hart makes me laugh. Cole's still our best player.

Absolutely spot on. I have more chance of sleeping with Cheryl Cole than of England getting to the last 16 of the world cup.

Haven't seen your second leg highlights, but Ronaldo's goal on Friday was fantastic.

    Portugal your second team now?

Might as well make them your first one, Scotland/England B are never going to amount to anything.

Last 2 games have shown us for what we are in world football terms - also ran's I'm afraid. Hate to say it, but we are miles behind not only Germany, Spain and Italy, but I can't see us beating Belgium, Holland, France, or Portugal either - and that's just the European teams! Don't get me started on the South Americans or we'll be here all night and I think we might struggle against one or two African teams as well. When the World Cup comes around I will be amazed if we get through the group stages.

Scotland's fans all get their "Anybody But England" tops out every year there's a tournament on.

It's a pity they're so bitter. Being half jock, I actually wish them well in big matches.

I think Sturridge has looked far from England's saving grace he's looked like he'd be when in a red shirt. How many internationals are there left? He needs time to adapt to the different style and bed in properly. Too many good attacking positions were lost due to him being indecisive, dancing around with the ball and trying to take on a an entire reformed defence.

Maybe someone like Ox, Townsend, Barkley can really come on this season and support Rooney, but time is running out to get partnerships formed. We really lack a good understanding between the players at the top of the pitch. We have the English players who as individuals are good enough to compete at international level, but they all play for different clubs so don't have a ready understanding of each other to bring to the national side. When you look at teams like Germany and Spain how many of their key attacking players play together at Dortmund/Bayern or Barca and already work well together throughout the club season.

    You're either a plastic or a faux-jock. Both sad.

Not too sure what you expect from a progressive friendly; a win or draw is always better, but Hart had a very good game, defence on headers needs looking at, midfield intercepted and played out well, I saw (did you?) where we could easily of drawn (at least) and I saw a bit of a confusion, but a definite will to play into attack - it was a post qualifying, pre Xmas friendly and it could have been far, far worse.

I've seen some bad coverage over the years, but . . .

My wife laughed before I did! That nonsense besides, Hart can hold his head up.

I was more worried about playing Zlatan.

You know, the guy that tore us to shreds a few months back.

Why is it? Because you expect them to do better than what they are capable of because the media hype them up too much?

    Why?

If any national side is an embarrassment, it's Scotland. Not England.
