He definitely looks slightly manikin-ish. EDIT: Forgot to mention - thank goodness that's over. Now we turn to the business of beating Arsenal on Saturday.
Rickie had absolutely no service. Think he looked like he was saving himself for a more important upcoming match.
I think that goes to show the gulf between England and the best teams in the world. We had no way through and resorted to long range attempts for the most part. If we are to progress we really should write Brazil off and keep blooding the young guns ready for the Euro's.
I am going to come out and say it... England need a player in the David Beckham mould. Preferably someone young. Someone mature and good at giving interviews. Can anyone think of anyone like that?
Agreed, may just have booked his seat on the plane tonight. Rickie did OK and may just go as an option.
"Dan in Newcastle, via text: Tom Cleverley and Jordan Henderson give me hope of playing professional football." Well said Dan, well said.
You know what, I was thinking the same thing every time I saw Wilshere give the ball away. Oh yeah, that young JWP chap. John Player..?
I knew England would look better against a European side. Think we deserved a draw, but main thing was that Lallana looked good again. He must have put himself into Roy's list of possibles.
If nothing else Lallana could be vying for the 'dependeable/adaptable' position that Milner currently is there for. either wing, tracks back well, however Adam offers attacking threat on top so I think he could well be in the squad for Brazil. Too early for Barkley though. One for the future there. Walker is a disaster. how is he getting in the Spurs team let alone England? Sturridge and Wilshere IMO would've shown over the last 2 games that they have played their way out of contention. And as predicted Gerrard/Cleverley midfield was a really bad choice. Cleverley got lost although he did do better than I was expecting. Gerrard puts the effort in but doesn't really add much other than balls to the corners top chase. Of tonights starting 11 IMO that should (not will because we know some can walk on water) are: ---------------Hart-------------------- --??-------??---------Jagielka----- Cole --??-------??------------??---------??- -----------??----------Rooney--------- Townsend for me is not as good as Walcott as Walcott does look for his team mates. Townsend is heads down and similar to Sturridge in his team play. Reminds me of Wright Phillips. And Lallana isn't in the 'should' because he hasn't really been allowed to show he is worthy of the first 11.
Another frustrating evening spent watching a group of individuals being beaten by what was quite frankly a pretty ordinary German team. Jagielka was my MotM, looked pretty solid. For me, we have far too many lightweight players who think they can, but in fact cannot, take on the opposition on their own. I believe we need more grit in the midfield, these last too matches have sadly been no where good enough.
I think we have learned who our back five will be. England's formations have not worked to well in the last two games and led to poor coordination. Secondly, too many players require too many touches. England need a bit more width rather than trying to play killer passes. Still not to worry at least the media hype will be quelled.

Thought Jagielka was Englands best player tbh. Lallana did nothing that would work against him and had another solid game. Think club form between him/Barkley/possibly Townsend (although I think he might be a definite selection now) will decide who gets the nod.
Do you mean someone that can score from free kicks, deliver a cross on to a sixpence and capable of being Captain of a team that wins 9 0? Nope can't think of one, unless..................
Joey Barton on Twitter: "My starting 11 for the WC would be: Hart' Walker, Jones, Cahill, Shaw; Wilshere, Ward-Prowse; Townsend, Rooney, Welbeck; Sturridge."
So you say some "walk on water" in a negative light then put Cole in . He has been terrible this year
