I actually made light of it, I didn't wonder about anything, as I think it's a total waste of space; the only sad part was that somebody took the effort to do it, but seeing as it was one of the Geordie rep whores I can understand their need and I am glad I was able, in some small way, to help them enjoy their sad lives - I live among them and some of them amuse me.

I think he's a prime example of an English media hyped player. They were hyping him before the last WC and he didn't even make the squad. He's still not even a big player for Bayern really. In this game you look at Townsend and look at Gotze and who's been better? And to prove my point Townsend unleashes that shot as I'm typing Seriously though Townsend in every game for England has looked brilliant but he's just English so he doesn't get that hype. I can't see it myself. He's got the talent but like you say he just doesn't dominate games like you want him to.
