So our youth team are playing Fulham at Loftus Road in the FA Youth Cup. A good opportunity to get a reasonable crowd to support our youth. Then you read the ticket details, £3 each, plus a £3.50 booking fee. Last season I went to the youth game against Huddersfield for free as a season ticket holder. Why the difference? I do wonder sometimes who it is making up our match pricing and ticketing policies.
Why would you pay the booking fee when you can just turn up and pay £3? £3 doesn't seem unreasonable having spent 30 on poor seats for the Charlton game.
Its always been a rip off. Credit Card costs to the retailer are probably somewhere between 1.5% to 3% of the sale amount. Not over 100% as in this case.
The booking fee is a con. It actually costs the club 50p per credit card transaction and everywhere else waives this if you pay over £5. The fee is an extra kick in the nuts if you spend over £100 on tickets. I refuse to order online now, I think many others are the same judging by the queues at the games. What's even worse is when there's a fee on each item when the club are only charged once, not sure if we do that or not.
Ive heard of it happening but obviously its been mistakes. I thought the club were looking into the rip off charge a while back.
................ because if you don't pay the 'booking' fee and they hit you with a 'turn up' fee. Either way, you get to touch your toes free of charge.
