The Germans just look so comfortable on the ball, whereas England appear somewhat rushed.....and is Smalling really the best centre half England have?
Great start but I now expect 2nd half to be a big ding dong can France keep up 70% of the ball I doubt it But France belong there as I believe they are top four material
Can't agree with you on the first point. I think Germany have looked very ordinary in possession, especially the first 20 mins. Smalling isn't first choice, but we no longer have top quality centre backs. England will never beat these top sides whilst Hodgson continues with only 2 central midfielders...........4-4-2 is so out-dated!! He just doesn't seem to see it.
Big half by France, the crowd right behind them, excellent atmosphere. Ribery inspirational, the lino not so much. Wrongly disallowed a goal by Benzema for offside and later wrongly let Benzemas goal stand when he was clearly offside. But I believe this game still holds a lot of drama. Who can forget a Cantona/Ginola French side getting knocked out at home to Bulgaria before the 1994 WC?!
To be fair I don't think Tramore was talking about possesion. The Germans play themselves out from the back even when pressed by 6-7 Englishmen 25 yards into the German half. They are very comfortable on the ball, nothing really fazes them.

They gave the ball away umpteen times in the first 20 minutes and were anything but comfortable on the ball. Problem is, people see Germany a bit like Barca..........they can do no wrong. England have been by far the better side, but our dodgy back 3 (I don't include Cole) will always concede. Gerrard and Cole off now.........we should lose by 2 or 3 with a midfield partnership of Cleverley and Henderson!!!!
Will you stop picking on me! I said he never seemed to do it WHEN I WATCHED HIM!! Plus he was always being criticised for not doing it in big games a few years ago. Be quite funny if Ronaldo doesn't get to the WC.
