If it looks like he will go for free, then they will accept £3,000,000. Business trumps a fan's hunch every time.
Problem is that he doesn't have to go anywhere and may just see out his contract and go for the big pay day. With his father pulling the strings and telling everyone how wondeful he is he will probably believe his own press. I blame the parents.
Huw has been quoted in the daily mirror confirming our interest. Also says that Lsudrup balked at ghe 8million price tag in the summer so it looks like if we do get him it won't be for silly money. Would be a really good signing for us.
Would anyone say he's setting the Championship on fire though? Maybe he's missed his big pay-out chance.....or his dad did that for him? Mid-season signings are a huge risk anyway but if he times out, will he get a big payday like everyone seems to think?
Having already turned down the chance of joining a P.L. Club, with the "big pay day opportunity",he has shown that perhaps money is not his main driving force. Clearly there is a strong bond between him and his father, and why shouldn't his father "tell everyone how wonderful he is". I would expect no less from Ince Snr. I detect a strong taste of sour grapes in Welshman's comment that Ince Jnr. probably "believes his own press". He will be a free agent in the summer, and I suspect he will sever the cord that currently binds him to Blackpool, and move on,unless he joins The Swans' in January to further fuel Welshman's ire. Wherever he ends up,however, won't affect his relationship with his dad,who still think that he is "wonderful". Good luck to him,I say.
I have a lot of time for Joe, really hope he repeats the form he was in last August/September again. Would like to see Ince in the PL and Swansea is probably a good fit... would rather you took Raheem on loan though!
Ince is not worth £8 million Yet. He needs a club like ours to make him more than £8 million but to do that ince snr and jnr will have to come back into the real world. Nobody will want to risk paying top dollar for a player that is unproven in the premiership only to find that he is joe average just like countless players before him. for example,Dobbie, graham who would have one or two good games and not up to standard to be consistent enough to be called good premiership players. Its to much of an expensive risk to pay what blackpool value him at imo. He may do well but then again he may not and if he is not then we will be lumbered paying a few million in his wages and that is without the transfer fee...I would prefer to give them a couple of million up front and depending how he does after a certain amount of games/goals we pay them what they want....I just hope we don't go overboard from the off and pay silly money towards the unknown.
I'm sure Joe will, he's been walking in his mates shadow for far too long, and wants to prove he's everything that Ramsey is and more, so watch this space he'll do you proud!................ We are looking at both Raheem and Inc it seems not sure if we will sign both on loan or what, will have to wait and see.
"but they don't have an area of outstanding beauty do they". Nor do they have john hughs attending Uni there. I thought that fact alone would have clinched it for Swansea!!!
No sour grapes from me. I don't know enough about him as a player & if you think he's worth the cost whatever that may be then good luck to you.
