Well Genji, I'm certainly surprised that them, HRT or Team Lotus haven't considered it, unless its not allowed in the rules somewhere? Do you need a super-license to drive in a practice session, or only the race itself?
Here's something interesting: De la Rosa will be driving this weekend in his Mclaren overalls, as he didn't take his Sauber ones to Montreal! That could be confusing. Just imagine, after a highly, highly bizarre race, we could see 3 drivers in Mclaren overalls on the podium! Following on from that, apparently Esteban Gutierrez, who is normally Sauber's third driver is not in Montreal this weekend, so Sauber had to ask Mclaren if they could 'borrow' de la Rosa. That seems a tad short sighted of Sauber after Perez' accident, I'd have thought they'd have made sure they had a 3rd driver present.
Ferrari have just tweeted to say they've found some Sauber bodywork inside Massa's car. An engineer has just been sent down the pit lane to return it.
Now thats weird: Ferrari: "A piece of Sauber bodywork was found inside Felipe's car. Our crew will go to their garage to bring it back."
I love Canada. I get to watch FP2 in the evening. Anyway, McLaren are worrying me, they need to just pop in a quick lap from Lewis or Jenson. Also D`Ambrosio loses it... Yellows at the moment.... EDIT : Red Flag.
how many more crashes are we going to see this weekend, could be an interesting Quali and race, and if theres rain.
I think I read somewhere that there's been an average of 8 retirements at Montreal since 2000, which is above average. I'd expect it to be a little lower this year though, most of the cars have been phenomenally reliable so far. Still, I count Vettel, Kobayashi, D'ambrosio and Sutil in the wars so far, plus spins for di Resta and Heidfeld, so I wouldn't say 8 is unlikely!
BBC Radio 5 live F1 commentator David Croft: "Lewis Hamilton is going to go out again. They've taped up the tyres and he's going to do a few more laps." Taped up? Please don't tell me he's being serious?
