Ryan Dickson, who I always wanted to see succeed at Saints, has said some nice things about Adam Lallana. Nice to see that he's finally found a club and signed a contract too: http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/sport/headlines/10819066._/
Yes funny how you continue to feel an affinity to players even after they've left us. Avidly watch FL show waiting for news on our former stars.
Same here. Occasionally, I'll be absent mindedly gazing at a particular FL match and suddenly realise that two games ago there was an ex-Saints player in a starring role. Luckily, I'm invariably watching via iPlayer Live, so I just scroll back to the moment and indulge. EDIT: Phew..! Just had an awkward moment. Just checked the whisky and there's enough in there in case any Saint player scores this evening. Hell, Steve De Ridder could score [if he's playing somewhere] and I'd raise a glass.
@henrywinter: Goal-line technology in use for #eng v #ger. FA rang German FA who agreed to G-LT use. Should have got Lampard to call them
You're missing out Olly. Some great action and future talent on show. You also get to see Pompey stuffed regularly. What more could you ask
On BBC text: Mike C: Hart, Rooney, Stevie G, Sturridge, Jagielka and Townsend will start at the World Cup. Lallana not good enough!! Mike C = Mike the ****.
Weeeeelll, Lallana would get in the team if I was boss, but I'd still say it's most likely Mike the **** is right. I think the odds of going to Brazil are against him.
Starting is one thing...you still need back up. Injuries happen...players get tired. I think Adam has been given a chance...it's up to him to show what he can do.
That's what you get for watching the build-up! When watching a game on ITV, turn it on without a minute of kickoff. That's the rule.
