Option B every single time. To me success on the ptich is nothing compared to keeping the name.

Why? Because you said so? Because CTWD demand it? Show me where it says he has to do that. All he has to do is consult with "stakeholders".

So why won't AA allow an open vote on it? Because he'd lose and he knows it.

The minimum requirement for the FA to consider a fan consultation to have taken place, is a vote including all season ticket holders, we obviously checked this with them before we went to the meeting.

Do you have a source for that? Not doubting it's true, just curious as I've never ever seen it put that way.

I still think the same level of apathy would apply with returning voting forms so it would be easy for Dr A to say, for example "1234 people are against it, 18k are for it because they didn't vote against it". Unless you got over half of the number of season ticket holders to actually vote against it, you lose the argument.

Yes I saw that, you making a statement, with all due respect Stanners doesn't make it true. I take nothing on face value, ever.

You seem to have a very low opinion of Hull City fans.

Everton had 40,000 votes on the change of their badge and you don't think 2,000 people would vote on something as important as the name of our club?

There's an easy way to find out and we're challenging AA to do exactly that.

Well - I reckon CTWD will have consulted the FA before seeing the good Doctator.

[EDIT: Doctator is not a typo, but an amalgam of Doctor and Dictator]

Are there any rules in place that dictate how the vote is carried out though ?

Does it stipulate it has to be postal ?

Polls can be rigged, not in a 'fiddled' sense but AA could issue a statement saying that by attending the Man U home game
all season ticket holders are registering their agreement to the name change or such like.

It wouldn't be right nor fair but he would probably get the majority he needed.

We were also close to not existing in the early 1980's until Don Robinson came along.

The best way for a vote to take place would be at the stadium on match days. It'd take voulenteers to supervise it all and make sure names/season ticket codes are written down but that way you'd get more votes. I could almost guarantee that a lot of 'don't like it but not overly bothered' types wouldn't even bother posting it back for the hassle of getting off their arse to go to the post box.

Either that or vote slips are handed in to voulenteers at match days and anyone who hands them in is entered free into a small lottery like the half time draw or given a £1 off pie or a pint or 5% off any club shop purchase voucher or something. The second option there would be better as it might entice some fans to buy things they usually wouldn't = more cash in the club coffers.

You seriously think that CTWD are not talking to the FA and the Premier League?

The FA have asked us for a dossier citing examples of every use of 'Hull City Tigers' that does not relate to the use of the company name. We obviously have pictures on the new tee-shirt in the club shop, emails from other clubs confirming that we're formally asking them to refer to the club as Hull City Tigers, photo's of the training ground, the club shop, the scoreboard etc

Anyone else who has examples of use of Hull City Tigers, please send them to...

When I've watched us on streams off foreign tv channels, they all call us Hull City Tigers using the name on every item (like at the bottom of the screen when there's a goal/kick off, league table), they use the Hull City Tigers logo and the commentators and announcers all call us Hull City Tigers, and they always make sure to add the tigers on the end and not just say Hull City.

I have a low opinion in people in general voting on matters, because that generally is sadly the way it works.

So are you now abandoning the idea of marches and demonstrations and admitting that won't work because you also have a low opinion of Hull fans in regards to actually joining in and supporting you?

Only the most passionate fans turn up for marches, which make the numbers low and play into the hands of AA and his 'noisy minority' nonsense.

The only way AA can find out for sure what the numbers are, is to ask them, it's what we want, it's what he said he'd do, why do you think he's reneged on this promise now?

The fact that we're pushing for a vote and AA is trying to avoid one, should tell you everything you need to know. His offer of a referendum is one of things we were asked to redacted from the minutes and it's one of the reasons we never released the minutes.

I was going to pull you up on the FA but at least now you are using the Premier League. THe FA have ceded everything over to the Premier League and good old Dick Scudamore. Oooh a dossier eh about not using our proper name. So are they going to fine Spurs and WBA for not using their proper names??

Assem Allam has something up his sleeve, whether its summat to do with FFP or a deal in place, I trust him and i believe he wants only what is best for us and i think the majority feel the same way
