Hi all Sunderland fan here come to give you an insight on the young lad you have just paid 16m for. Many Sunderland fans are dissapointed that he has left us even though for the most part of the season he was getting slagged off left right and centre. His positive attributes are that he runs around a lot and is reasonably quick but not lightning and i guess he maybe put 2 or 3 good crosses in last season. His negative attributes are he cant tackle, hes weak, he doesnt like to mix it or get in the oppositions faces and hes not skillfull, (Ive seen him do a couple of nutmegs granted but he doesnt have the balls to take players on regular enough) So not overly good for a central midfielder you say. As for right midfield he is slightly better suited to this role due to being reasonably quick but again he doesnt take players on and his crossing often leaves a lot to be desired. He took all our set pieces last season check out the amount of goals we scored from them last season im pretty sure it is a round number. So again not much potential as a deadball specialist. I will be amazed if he got more than 5 assists last season and he has scored 4 goals in 2 seasons. Again not overly prolific. As you can see im building up a bit of a negative portfolio of him here. "There must be something good to say about him" i hear you cry out. The only good thing I can say about him is he is fit. (and not in a sexual way) Now before the meatheads come out slagging me off this is hand on heart my honest opinion of someone I have been watching for the last 2 seasons. My own father a newcastle fan so obviously not biased grew tired of me slagging him off during one game last season on sky. But he agreed "hes ****e" he said. Another thing that got my goat up about him is the fact he is a massive pussy. I mean bigger than my lass' pussy i think if you flick him he will die. He had no passion or balls to get stuck in and this was playing for his home town club, god knows what he will be like for you guys. I used to live in Liverpool and i know you scousers will not tolerate anyone not putting their heart in and i fear within 6 months you will be saying the same things i have said. anyway that is my assessment of him I know no-one will agree with me but ill come back at christmas for your opinions of him. I still cant believe we got 16m for him. Man utd were meant to be after him for a similar fee in january but they dodged the bullet and im afraid you have taken it in the chest. Good Luck with him anyway and good luck for the season ive always had a soft spot for you and i hope you can compete with those 2 manc tripe teams this season.
To be fair, if Kenny thinks he is a good player and will fit in, I completely trust Kenny's judgement.
Is it time to close this article, because a Sunderland fan won't admit that Fathead made a boo boo by selling him?Well his replacement if reports are to be believed is going to be Darron Gibson,if Sunderland fans think Henderson is crap...they haven't seen anything yet.
Second thoughts,I'm going to leave it open until the OP responds. I think we can have a bit of fun with him
Sorry thats the premium put on English players by English clubs. If there was no such a thing,do you think Spurs would have got £18.6 million for Carrick? Well I don't.
He may well do and I honestly wish him well. He's a Sunderland lad. From life long fan to Player. I've just never quite got the hype that surrounded him. Thing is we are used to ****e up here. Anyone with a bit about them kind of stands out like a beach ball on a Football pitch. Gyan, Sess even Bent, the twat. Hendo though just never really stood out.
Thats more like it. He's a young lad,and that has to be taken into account.Bruce rates him very highly. He also seems like a grounded young lad too,and thats credit to you guys. You guys have a gent of a chairman in Quinny.I wish you well for next season..except when you're playing Liverpool of course.
"You guys have a gent of a chairman in Quinny" Tell you what mate. Quinny is a legend in my eyes and it pains me to say he's getting a bit of stick from some of our lot. To think where we would be without him...........
Hendo is a good lad and will thrive, my opinion is he is still developing but because he was at Sunderland he was in the team every week and had far to much on his young shoulders. He needs time and good teachers, cant think of a better midfield teacher than Gerard so he will be fine. Most Sunderland fans wanted him out last season, the same fans are up in arms now that we have sold him.
