Hinkley the town or Hinckley United? ... any monies received will first go to pay the creditors ... I guess it really depends on how much they get for the ground ... Hinkley has traditionally been a Leicester City stronghold ... indeed the Leicester fans there see Coventry as our main rivals ... the prospect of Cov playing there would present rather unique public order issues I feel
Yeah, an interesting one this I must say. So they´ll be playing in Leicestershire at Leicester road... might as well re-name them Leicester Athletic or Rovers. Just out of curiosity, who else in the top 5 lges in England don´t play in their actual towns or cities ?
I have recently been down there, ( I live quite near the "Stadium",) It was eerily quiet and totally without atmosphere ..so if cov move in I envisage absolutely no change... Im glad its cov, we in the area, can keep our peace and quiet...
We should quickly but the naming rights to the stadium from whoever owns it 10 year deal called the Leicester City Stadium That would piss off the chavs
In all seriousness.. this just won't happen, there is just not the policing resources required or base available, ,the local residents down there are pretty well to do and would fight it tooth nail... it would need a massive improvement in infrastructure that simply is not there... pie in the sky
Yeah - might be tempted. Lived in cov many years. A mix of Eastern European gangs walking the streets with knives, and child abuse (making em wear that ****ty blue shirt) made me decide to get an LE post code again. Like JF - dont live too far from the ground - so I could walk there (if I started out on a Friday night - legs dont work the way they used to). Either that, or I can google napalm, and offer a nice warm welcome. Mmmmm - now let me think ...............
They'll just draft them in from elsewhere. West Yorkshire Police for starters like sticking their noses in anywhere in the country. It would "solve" this problem as well. They can just insist that the home fans travel on official coaches from 20 miles away.
Cleethorpes is basically a suburb of Grimsby now, it's only a few miles from the centre of one to the centre of the other.
