Now that Town have finally made a quality signing in Michael Chopra for a modest fee in the end this will be the catalyst for more signings to follow. Eventhough Chopra was injured last year he is a proven "poacher" which we so desperately need and I think with him signing this will prove to other potential targets that we do mean business! A weeks an awful long time in football and especially at our beloved football club but I am excited by this signing and all the other names we are being linked with. Despite all the speculation I think Connor will be with us next season and I am already licking my lips at the prospect of Chopra and Wickham up front. That's a bit tasty!

I agree, this should make other prospective targets take note and think that we are not such a bad place to come and play. The trouble you have when linked with a lot of players and not signing any of them is it stands out to other people who must think "Ipswich can't close a deal with these players, why not?"

TWTD reckon that Ingimarrson is a done deal as well. I reckon that he is better than Macauley, so happy days.

Ingimarson (spelling) will be a terrific signing, just what we need at the heart of our defence. He's a better ball player than GMac and he has a bit of pace too! I'm more excited about him joining to be honest!

Can't wait to see Town play 4-5-1 with Chopra as the lone, isolated, front man...

It was frustrating towards the end of last season, but if we're being honest, Jewell needed time to look at his squad and only signed Drury (looks promising) I'm sure he'll move Wickham up front and maybe even get another striker in (Nugent, Goddwille?) He's said he wants to play 442. What needs to happen is that the club places trust in Jewell to do his job properly and give him money to spend
