Oh yeah I'm not expecting him to deliver on his promise, it's more a case that if he's being that certain over the time frame, you'd expect him to either miraculously find the money, or disappear never to be heard of again pretty soon. I really hope he doesn't scrape together the bare minimum to convince Lotus to sign Hulk, then fail to deliver any further money, and leave Lotus up a familiar creek. A long drawn out legal battle to get the money owed would be the last thing Lotus want.
Do you recall the takeover of Sauber that was meant to happen when BMW pulled out back in 2010, the group who took over Notts County were set to take over until it was proven that it was all a complete fraud, and Peter Sauber had to step in pretty much at the eleventh hour to save the team.
The real reason McLaren have done so poorly, maybe Perez wasn't the onlt Mexican import there http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/17/dopey...arijuana-flag-gaffe-at-us-grand-prix-4189718/
Genii were never in F1 for the long term. Eventually they were going to sell the team and Quantum deal on paper is perfect for them. First they sell 35% to an "investment consortium", these investors then bring in "very high quality sponsors" and with an option to take control of the team at a later date. According to Lotus back in June, Quantum includes "an American hedge fund manager, an Abu Dhabi-based multinational business group and royal family interests of a major oil producing nation.â So it's not hard to see why Genii would go for this.
Sorry for keeping on , but the more I read , the more I am convinced NH would be better of staying at Sauber for 2014 .Who knows what the future holds for anyone after that !!!!!!!
A couple of Di Resta Quotes on his F1 Future: "They know what I'm capable of here, they know what I can deliver. I feel like I'm an asset to the team." "I believe over the last four races I've done what's been asked of me" "But I'll continue to live this dream I am in because I believe this is where I should be at the moment. I've put in the performances for that."
Self promo or what? Well I suppose if nobody else is singing your praises then you might aswell do it yourself!
One or two whispers that Hulkenberg has signed for Force India for 2014, citing uncertainties over Lotus paying his salary as the reason for turning them down.....make of that what you will...
